  1. He's using a M power rod, 30lb or 50lb makes no difference, he won't be able to take advantage of the heavier line.
  2. lol, just be more careful and put all the little things in a container. I think learning how to service your own equipment is important.
  3. sounds like you are missing parts. good luck
  4. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewmolixsbcrank.html Theres a review of it. I don't see or hear about molix baits in my area.
  5. http://s7d5.scene7.com/is/content/purefishing/Abu Garcia/Schematics/PROMAXLH 1800.pdf Where is that golden part? I dont see it on the schematic
  6. did you try putting it back with a schematics on hand? I didn't know promax tention knobs clicked
  7. As a general rule, set your drag to half of the max line rating of your rod. If your rod is rated up to 14lb, set the drag at 7lb. This way, no matter how heavy your braid is, you won't risk snapping your rod.
  8. I have 2 cotton cordell suspending spots and they are great when the weeds are almost to the surface. You can pause them near any structure, and they dont sink fast enough to get tangled up.
  9. Sure you can. Don't let your dreams be dreams. Thats my go-to setup.
  10. Played with one in the store and it feels really solid. Im going to get one once my current one breaks.
  11. Yes same frame as original
  12. CT is smaller, and no, dial never moved for me
  13. I use the cheap mustad braid scissors I bought for like $1.70, been 3 years and still works fine
  14. Sad. Hope you give them hell.
  15. I like daiwa reels so id get the steez
  16. ah, ok. If its along the handle trim, and its a very small section, you can just put a thin layer of your own epoxy over it.
  17. slow cure seems cracked? whats a slow cure, pic please.
  18. I buy whatever I feel is good, and at the moment I like Daiwa for reels, Megabass and MajorCraft for rods.
  19. Review please
  20. Im also interested to know if these stand upright on the bottom like savage gear and huddleston baits
  21. lure ratings are there to prevent your rod from snapping when you cast hard. Fighting a 1lb fish and casting a 1lb lure is not the same thing. You can probably cast up to 3/4oz if you are careful enough.
  22. So after opening quite a few rod threads, which rod(s) did you buy?
  23. We already have a better thread for this
  24. I use all flipping style weights. When its small, like 1/8 or 3/16 that I use, the sizes and shapes are virtually identical. On biggest sizes, I don't like how worm weights are long and thin, I prefer slightly more compact style of flipping weights. All 3/16oz, 2 on the sides are worm style, center is flipping style.
