  1. That would make sense ^^ haha I'd have to see a 20lb chain pickerel to believe it... That would be a monster
  2. Yeah every one around here calls I'm jack... And they do grow to a decent size.... At least around here
  3. My grandpa uses an ugly stik and he catches plenty of bass on it, I haven't used it enough to really have an opinion but it seems like a decent rod for the money.
  4. You'd be surprised how much grass square bill can come through....
  5. What doesn't look right? There are a few blemishes here and there but I'm pretty pleased with it overall
  6. Accuracy is more important IMO, but I also fish whatever distance I feel is most efficient. If I feel bombing crankbaits is gonna get more fish quickly by covering more water then that's what im gonna do!
  7. Thanks, and it was around 150$ - 175$
  8. Sadly no... Someone else picked my bass up and he said he didn't ask any questions about where the 17lber came from. I'd like to know if it was caught in one of the local lakes!
  9. Its a skin mount, there was a darn 17lb bass somebody was getting mounted there... It made this bass look like a minnow haha
  10. She weighed 5lbs, and ya it got back pretty quick I caught her in the middle of september
  11. They are pretty good, I used them in the river this year at around 10-14ft.
  12. Honestly IMO it's something you just have to practice, I have the luxury of a pond I can practice in but I'm sure any target in your yard would work fine
  13. I've never really felt I was at a disadvantage because I was using a reel that was to "Slow/Fast" for any technique really. Atleast not anymore.
  14. Nice seems like people have been killing it lately on those silver buddies!
  15. Pitching is all about accuracy and quiet entry for me too. 15 yards isn't to far if your still hitting your targets.
  16. I've always wanted a bass mounted and mine is finally here! Looks pretty good right? EDIT: Here is a better picture with more light.
  17. Figured somebody would crack a Ebola joke eventually haha I got a few but I'll refrain from saying them...
  18. I like the hack attack when I'm swimming a jig through the thicker stuff, I haven't tried a whole lot of jigs that are actual "swim jigs"
  19. I'd just get him his own account that he can log into while he is at your house...
  20. I'd say 5lbs or more. Looks like a good fat ole healthy bass, nice job man!
  21. It also helps to know what the bass's doorstep looks like, you can't be accurate if you don't know what to aim for.
  22. It's says it fits most handles, And if it's too big you can cut it down. It's not to expensive so if you buy it and it doesn't fit it won't be a disaster...
  23. ^^^ That doesn't look nearly as cool though... Can't do a hero shot unless your lipping that bass! ^^^
  24. Ya, when it comes to stuff like squarebills or pitching a jig a foot or two can be the difference between getting bites and getting skunked.
