I got a lot of Basstrix, silly rabbits, money minnows and LA sliders for Christmas. How do you all store them when you fish? It seems like the paddletail would be fragile and could get ruined if its stored in a weird position like from a soft plastics binder... and the plastic got some memory, the bait would run weird. Would just normal 370 boxes be the best choice or is there something else?

I've seen a lot of problems with them. For the money, a president has a cheap graphite frame and a shimano sahara has a metal from and is smoother for the same price. The Diawa Exceller is also a nicer reel for the same price.

I've been fly fishing forever. I just got a new rod too. I had it down to two choices, the Sage Z-Axis and the Loomis Native Run GLX. I ended up going with the Loomis, and its a great rod. They call it a single hand spey rod because its 11 ft long and 8 wt, but its not really a spey rod, its more of a switch rod. They extra length would be great if you want to use it for stripers and other fish in that class. If you have any fly fishing questions let me know.

Neither of them really come close to the original though, but buy some real ones on ebay and buy a few packs of the copies and see what you think for yourself

Just bid on some Basstrix on ebay. The prices are down now, you can find them for $15 - $20 a pack and they are worth it rather than spending $10 on a pack of knock offs

basstrix swimbaits will be the hottest lure of the year. good luck finding them except on ebay

similar action to a basstrix, not quite as good. But the paintjob on the basstrix is what makes it a fantastic lure and the money job on a money minnow doesnt even come close.
