  1. renosky and the original rad lures chatterbait is the same thing, rad lures has resosky make and market their product.
  2. not made by pflueger. stop spreading those nasty rumors
  3. i doubt your going to get an answer if they hold up since they have been out a month. But they do cast very far.
  4. just wondering what people use as far as plastic- softener- salt mixture for there stick senko type baits. do you make them as soft as the yamamoto or a harder so they stay on the hook longer?
  5. late 2007 or 2008. they are really softer, they just have different finishes
  6. bring it back and get a non quantum reel
  7. putting vasoline on the guides works. we do that for winter steelhead. there are also products made specifically for stopping ice buildup on guides that you can get from fly shops, but I dont remember the name of the product right now
  8. yea I've used a medalist plenty of times, which is why I said a GOOD reel with an aluminum frame. I hate the way the bail closes, dont like the reel handle, and there are smoother reels in the same range.
  9. you are on two ands of the spectrum there buddy. The Bill dance combo is like a "hey i'm new to baitcasting and want to try it because people on tv use them" type of reel, and the energy is a nice reel if you want to stick with quantum
  10. i dont understand this move. why dont they make a decent reel with an aluminum frame first? Also remember if you buy this new reel dont use it in salt water if there are any scratches in the finish, it will be ruined. by the way, if you are a fly fisherman.... I checked out the new pflueger summit fly reel today... absolutely horrible drag system on it. mktrout
  11. it appears to be an anti reverse fly reel, where you can reel it in, but has a drag where the handle won't spin if a fish is taking line. There are a few manufactures of these, but if that what it is... its the best looking one i've seen.
  12. you can also use an O ring on the screw in ones, it helps.
  13. I think you're a bit off on your "average" numbers. I would say lower. you have to remember, most people (not people on here) are buying there fishing stuff at places like walmart. There arent many combos there over $40. Plus even at big fishing stores like bass pro or cabelas their number one selling combo is an ugly stick combo for $25-$30... in fact thats the number one selling combo in the country. I'm talking spinning outfits here, the average for a baitcaster is definately higher.
  14. "Raul I got that same daiwa bionic blade combo for $59.99 at bassproshops and it works great." No you didnt
  15. "Walmart sells Silver Thread... HA HA HA HA HA Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin" yea haha that is hilarious. Walmart also carries fireline, powerpro, yozuri hybrid, etc.... hahaha hilarious isnt it. ??
  16. Get a Sahara instead of a sedona. Both sedona and president had graphite frames. The shimano sahara is the same price as the president. If you want a quality product that will last a long time go with the Sahara. mktrout
  17. there is no such thing as a president 2500 size. Go with a sahara for the same price or a symetre for a little more for a much better reel.... and they actually some in a 2500 size!
  18. actually all this proves is some guy wrote something on a website. Do you want me to post a chart on the web too? I can have it up in 3 minutes with whatever I want it to say. The whole concept behind big game is to absorb shock from big fish.
  19. Dodgeguy is wrong here. Big Game is designed for BIG fish. It had a lot of stretch to absorb shock from big fish strikes and unpredictable runs, ie saltwater, salmon steelhead etc. Remember stretch isn't necessarily a bad thing is lines depending on what your using it for. mktrout
  20. ive played with it, nothing special. Seems like a regal with a matte finish.
