  1. ....and don't forget that foot rubbing promise. I guarantee that she won't. Good job! Godspeed while you are overseas. Congrats on the baby!! Not trying to compete with you, but my wife is sending me to the Kentucky Lake Road Trip this year. Wives can be wonderful if you let God bless you with the right one. BTW, my wife gets a foot rub every morning after we have coffee. The way to a woman's heart is through her sore feet. You heard it here! Ronnie
  2. Shimano TE-200-DC Shimano Calcutta TE-400 ABU 5600-WS ABU 6000 (Red) ABU 6600-D5 Quantum US-300 All are round reels and I use them all for Bass fishing. I also have 5 low profile reels. Ronnie
  3. All my reels will get new line at least annually, much more often if I am fishing a lot. Nothing like fresh line to make a great trip better. Increases confidence for me. Heading out to the KY Lake Roadtrip next month and all my reels (12 total) will get new line. I buy in bulk to keep costs down. Ronnie
  4. Try bouncing a spinnerbait across the rocks. You will likely sacrifice a couple of baits due to snags, but this can be very productive. Ronnie
  5. It's not an FI, it is an Aero. Still a very sweet reel. Let ma know if you are interested. Ronnie
  6. If you are interested, I have a Shimano Stradic 4000, in perfect condition that I would sell for $75 or trade for a 1000 or 2500 size spinning reel of like value. Ronnie
  7. Big Game is the only mono I use. It is inexpensive and performs well. Try it Chris, you will like it. Ronnie
  8. Look at it from another perspective, our kids will compete with his kind in the marketplace of life. It almost becomes comforting when you think about it. Ronnie
  9. Zoom finesse worm with a small nail weight. Fish it slowly, no, even slower, nope, even slower than that. Ronnie
  10. I agree, it would be a 4+ mile run to get to the lake from the nearest ramp. Not fishing for food. Ronnie
  11. I use a Q-tip with a little acetone or lacquer thinner. It cleans all the rust out. JMHE Ronnie
  12. Well, I just want to say thanks to "Misty Harbor" boats, "Shimano" reels and "G.Loomis" rods for helping me cast those "Culprit" worms and "Arkie" jigs which are tied to my "Yo Zuri" line with a "Tie Fast" knot tyer and BassResource.com for my fishing experience. I'm jus sayin......... Ronnie
  13. I believe God made tubes for skipping under docks and low overhangs. The ultimate skipping bait. JMHO Ronnie
  14. If you are going to organize your tackle in plano/falcon type boxes, these work great and they only cost $13 at BPS or Cabellas. JMHO..... Ronnie
  15. This winter seems to be wayyy colder than I originally thought..... :-? Ronnie
  16. Calling yourself a "referee" won't always keep you from getting your butt kicked. I'm just sayin..... Ronnie
  17. You have to sharpen serrated blades with a ceramic stick sharpener. The Chefschoice sharpeners do a good job of sharpening pocket and utility knives, but they can scratch up really nice knives. This is what I use on my high end kitchen knives and paying customers, but it's expensive. http://www.truhone.com/store/pc/viewContent.asp?idpage=2&gclid=COzIlv_2j6cCFeR65QodYmE9dg Ronne
  18. Sounds like a reasonable explanation to me!~I have been trying to improve my "Raitorigu aggressive" technique for some time now. Maybe I need this rod. :-? Ronnie
  19. Johnson's "silver minnow spoon" with a chunk type trailer can be deadly. Ronnie
  20. Without a doubt! Ronnie
  21. Hey Chris, I hope you don't think I'm disagreeing with you. If it don't look right it probably ain't right. What I love about the fast tie tool is you have to work to get it wrong. I have rheumatoid arthritis and my fingers point toward my elbows. I have no trouble tying the knots with the tool. What I love MOST is I have also repeatedly tested the double nail knot by forcibly pulling until something breaks. The weaker line breaks. The knot doesn't break. I have no interest in the little tool except good knots and I am sure there are others that work as well. Just trying to pass along something that has worked very well for me. Not many things do so anymore. JMHO Ronnie
  22. This is why for leader connections I always recommend the opposing nail knots. It's harder to tie, I use a tool to do it, but comes out perfect and is as strong or stronger than any knot. Especially if the line diameters are different. Ronnie
  23. I Couldn't have said it better. 8-)
  24. ^ What he said....
