  5. Here's a pic that I found quickly. It's on the front edge of the table. I could cst mine a mile until I messed with it. LOL I said XG and it's actually SG. I don't think they have much value. You can buy them cheap on ebay. Ronnie
  6. Is this the reel you were talking about? its a 250XG? I tried cleanin it but when I put mine back together for some reason the spool wont spin with the handle.. Very similar, but even older. Mine was a xg10 with a chrome spool release button like an old ABU 5000. It worked flawlessly until I decided to mess with it. LOL
  7. Excellent!!! ;D
  8. Until a little over a year ago, I regularly fished my 1977 Shimano Bantam XG. It would probably still be working if I hadn't took it apart and lost a couple of springs. It was an amazing reel that seemed to get better with age. I still fish mostly Shimano reels. Ronnie
  9. How much more sensitive is tungsten than lead?... I have found that lead can take a joke and give it right back, but tungsten gets all defensive if you tell a momma joke. Just sayin.... Ronnie
  10. LOL, no price is good enough to buy 10 years worth of line. I 'm a hoarder. LOL Raul you are my man!!! ;D
  11. I have no experience with G.Loomis except for IMX and GLX rods. I think they are wonderful and agree with RW that they are rightfully the "Gold Standard". Since Loomis has stopped selling these blanks, all of my customs are now being built on Lamiglas blanks. Ronnie
  12. X2 - I like fresh line and not worrying if I have enough. Ronnie

  15. Line by the pound is the only way to fly. Ronnie
  16. Fishing below 32 degrees just sucks. It doesn't matter what line you are using. Sorry, I couldn't resist. Ronnie
  17. I have tried several and always come back to Flex Coat. I find that if you follow Flex Coat's instructions on "how we do it" on their website you will always get good results. Especially the tip on just saturating the thread with thinned finish and using a good coat of high build 24 hours later. It eliminates bubbles coming from the thread wraps. JMHO Ronnie
  18. A Must?? No, but I buy it by the pound. 8-) Ronnie
  19. We all compete constantly for the title of "Dink Master". ;D Ronnie
  20. Like BASSclary said, if it's a Culprit, it is stamped on the tail. Ronnie
