If anyone has AIM.....
We are still having Bassresource unofficial chats on AIM occasionally if anyone is interested. We had a chat this evening, very fun, good for time killing in the cold winter months.

Oh come on
You guys say Exxon made their profit like it is a bad thing. If they know how to make money and correctly run a global wide business, then how is that bad? The company themselves do not control the gas prices. They know how to make money efficiently and effectively. Imagine what would happen if Exxon Corporation just said "We quit," and fired all employees and shut everything down. Then think of what would happen to our economy, gas prices, everything. I'm just offering a counter point.

I Met Several Presidential Candidates Today! NOT a Political Thread.
Hello to all, WV held it's first ever Republican Convention today at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, WV. I got to meet 3 major Presidential contenders, Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, and Ron Paul. McCain wasn't in attendance, or I probably would have met him as well. Huckabee ended up winning the convention, which makes my picture even more valuable to me! Please don't turn this into a political free-for-all. I just wanted to show you guys this, thought it was pretty cool.

Nope, he had a guy with him who was kind of hurrying him along, so I didn't take up too much of his time. Burley...

Got to Meet Kevin VanDam!
Alright, here's the deal guys: So I was walking down the mall in Nashville, TN, the Opry Mills Mall to be exact. I was down there for a bluegrass convention (see my topic in everything else). So, I was walking down to Bass Pro Shops, when I see Kevin VanDam right beside me! I got my picture with him. He was on the phone, so I didn't bother him long, just enough time to get this picture. That was a big deal for me, seeing my idol in the mall!

2008 SPBGMA Bluegrass Convention - Pictures and Story
This weekend I attended one of the best premier bluegrass conventions in the country, the SPBGMA (Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America) convention. I saw J.D. Crowe and got to do a lot of picking in the Sheraton Music City Hotel. There were also a lot of good places to eat as well. Here are some pictures I thought you guys might like. Post an embarrasing picture of yourself!
When myself and the bluegrass band I am in was recording our new CD, I had my picture taken when I was singing a song...I think it's a bad picture.
