  1. Great job man! 8-)
  2. I had a good outing at the local backwater area near my house. I've been frequenting some public ponds now that I can drive, but I had an hour to kill so I went down the road. I managed to catch three bass, two dinks but one pushing 2 lbs, a new PB for this year. Hey, it's not huge, but it's a start for the year. Here are some pics for you. Dink 1. The new PB. Weight is iffy, I guessed two pounds, more or less. Thanks for looking and tight lines everyone!
  3. ;D What's the story behind that?
  4. [move]Welcome![/move]

  6. Sounds like our members really showed their hospitality!
  7. Which one would it be? If you could only use one lure all day long, which lure? There are so many choices and opportunities for different lures, so choose wisely. My choice? A medium sized black and silver rapala. It is versatile and can be used in almost any situation. 8-)
  8. Great fish man, great fish!
  9. That's awesome. I'm wanting to break out my fly rod this spring once it warms some and try it out on multi-species. I'd love to catch some trout, but I would love to catch a bass or crappie on it as well.
  10. I love this quote in your signature. 8-)
  11. Sure was! Burley, Just kidding. I bought a Cubs shirt while I was out there. 8-)

  13. : What a boring post!
  14. Well, I had a great spring break! I'm back from visiting my Aunt in Palos Hills, about 20 miles from Chicago. I had a good visit, and went to several places, including downtown, the zoo, Joliet prison, Chinatown, and more. I've included a few pics. Here is downtown. Chinatown! These wild animals are frequent throughout the city, not sure what they are... Joliet Prison, where the scene from the Blues Brothers movie was filmed. Anywhere, that's where I've been! Thanks for looking.
  15. Man. I'd find a different lake!
  16. Wait until you hit 2400 something! Must be too bored...
  17. I was reading a post on another forum about fishing courtesy, only it was for trout spots. It seems most of the time people act like they have no brains at all when it comes to courtesy in spots. The same goes for bass fishing. If you're fishing a spot, and you are the only one on the entire lake or stream or whatever, you have probably been bombarded by "warm weather fisherman" as I call them. You know them - the guy with the red and white bobber the size of a river buoy, the family trudging down the hill all loaded and ready. Now, it is not the people I have the problem with. It is the attitude of other fisherman. If someone catches a fish in a spot, it is in the best interest that you do not go into that angler's spot and start plunking away. It's a whole lake full of fish. This is usually a problem with trout fisherman but I'm sure it applies to bass fishing as well. How do you guys deal with this kind of problem when on the water?
  18. The best I've heard all day.
  19. I can tell you number 2 does not work. However, the other stuff comes in handy! Thanks. 8-)
  20. You can't get much better than that! Where do you preach at?
  21. Thanks everyone! I appreciate it! Russ- I know he would, he would be overjoyed
  22. I found out Friday I was inducted into the National Honor Society at my high school. It's a nationwide club about community service, helping others, etc. You can't just make the honor society, you also had to have a certain amount of community service, teacher recommendations, etc. I tried when I was a sophmore and didn't make it, but applied this year and made the cut. The induction ceremony is today. Thanks! -Aaron
  23. Oh man, that's awful. I know it has been bad this winter. At least you're going to Gville! I'll be in Chicago.
