  1. Hey guys, I've been out for a week at a music camp held every June in Pocahontas County, WV, about 3 hours from where I live. I didn't get to do a whole lot of fishing, but I had a great time meeting up with new and old friends and playing bluegrass. The highlight of the camp for me was the wild meat cookout they host on Wednesday night of the week. It's an evening full of picking and eating wild game (venison, deep fried turkey, lamb, bear, and more). I had guitar lessons every day and was able to jam with several people. Here are some videos if you guys are interested. If you don't care for bluegrass, you'll hate these videos Be sure to select the high quality option under the videos, they show up much better. That's the song "If That's The Way You Feel." I'm the 17 year old, extremely handsome bachelor playing the vintage Gibson J-50. 8-) Here's the next video. http://youtube.com/watch?v=N7D4FH5fz2I This is the student concert, held on the Thursday of the week. I'm singing lead on this song, and it's called "I Wonder Where You Are Tonight". Thanks guys! -Aaron
  2. Awesome photo timeline. That puts it in perspective!
  3. Excellent job! This thing has really made its rounds!
  4. I love it. I'd prefer a 10 inch smallie over a two pound bass anyday. Those fish are serious, serious fighters! That two pound smallie I caught felt like a giant musky in the water.
  5. Excellent fish man! Keep on 'em!
  6. Yeah, I remember you, good to hear from you. I had a killer time this week!
  7. From the toilet? Have at it!
  8. Man, that is awful to see. Prayers sent!
  9. I just got back from an awesome three day trip to Pocahontas County, WV. I fished for smallmouth in the Greenbrier River in Marlinton, and I caught quite a bit. I only had the opportunity to fish three times while was there (I was actually there providing bluegrass music for a commercial for a local bed and breakfast), but I did quite well. Most of my fish were caught on a 2 inch brown trout rapala, and were typical river sized fish (8 to 12 inches). Here are some pictures. Enjoy! The Greenbrier River in downtown Marlinton, WV. Some typical smallies from the stream. A view of the river behind my friends house in Stoney Bottom. My PB smallie on the year! It weighed 2 lbs even on the digital scale, an excellent fish for the river. I look like a ghost in the picture, but nonetheless it is a good fish and made the whole trip! Thanks for looking. 8-)
  10. A sad day in the journalism and media world. Mr. Russert was a well-respected anchor, and it was shocking to everyone when he died today! He will be greatly missed. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25145431/
  11. School's out baby!
  12. Man, that is EXPENSIVE for gas.
  13. That's certainly, how can I put this, interesting! ;D
  14. I have several things planned for this summer. I was awarded a scholarship to a week-long bluegrass music camp in Pocahontas County, WV, called Allegheny Echoes (www.alleghenyechoes.com). I am also going on vacation in July to Hilton Head, SC and I am attending a week-long Teenage Republican Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. (http://www.republicanteens.org/tlc). I will also have several weekends booked for our music. What summer plans, if any, do you guys have going on?
  15. Congratulations! Sounds like you're quite a guy!
  16. I caught a six year old when fishing once. But when I brought him in, he was just under the size limit, so I pitched him back. 8-)
  17. That's the way I feel about it as well.
  18. x2 My advice exactly. Keep only your limit, release the big fish (they don't taste good anyway - too fishy tasting), and have at it.
  19. Excellent fish man! Nice decision, glad you made it, looks like it paid off big dividends 8-)
  20. Excellent job! Awesome that you caught your first bass. Keep it up.
  21. What an excellent video! Definitely worth the wait. The food looked great on there. Good to see some WV guys representing! 8-)
  22. I did also, oh well. I have both a myspace and a facebook, but I am a much bigger fan of myspace because it is easier to use and there are less notifications and all that extra stuff.
  23. Thanks guys! He came down last night for practice (Homer), and it sounded really good. Our older neighbor who lives near us came over to listen and really enjoyed the music.
