  1. Always put Rod Gloves on as long as I'm not using the rod at that time. Broke a couple guides in the car one time so I won't go without them.
  2. Largemouth- 1/2oz Booyah Boo Jig w/ big texan pit boss trailer Smallmouth- Livetarget Emerald Shiner Jerkbait
  3. Fish Lake Erie and the Niagara River all the time (pretty clear water) and have noticed little to no advantage of having FC instead of braid. There are a few instances that I will use it (crankbaits, jerkbaits, dropshot), or use braid with a FC leader. I don't like having FC on my reels because when I get to local lakes where you are fishing in thick cover or flipping jigs all day, or throwing topwater or buzzbaits, I would much rather have the braid on and not have to re-spool. Just my $0.02.
  4. There's very little regret involved when buying fishing stuff

Multiple new Lew's reels and rods, Strike King 1.5 and 8.0, Kopper's live target lures yearling series, new products from Reins and YUM, new veritas... ...and can't forget the new Duckett micro magic pro rod and ironsilk line from Berkley!
  6. I just bring jigs, some soft plastics, a few topwaters, and my terminal tackle box. Gets the job done every time.
  7. It's making me sick to be at my desk and not at ICAST right now.

1/2oz Football Jig (nu-tech/booyah/all terrain/SK) with a pit boss trailer Wacky rigged Senko livetarget hollow body frog
  9. If you're referring to the buzz plug, I use the larger size.
  10. I don't enjoy getting skunked, but it happens more often than I'd like over the summer months when I'm hitting the water for an hour or two after work, usually to try out a new product, or get ready for a tournament. It doesn't really bother me too much until it it happens in an 8 hour day, then it's a completely different story.
  11. If you haven't used one you won't understand how awesome it is, Arbogast Buzz Plug in black or firetiger. Other than that keep it to livetarget frogs and field mouse for heavier cover.
  12. I like the biggest version of these, just because I don't have a frog in that size. Moves more water and I like them a lot right before dusk open water or on top of weed beds.
  13. Anything mostly black, brown, or green pumpkin works for me in any of the water I fish, no matter what the depth is. Usually use 1/2 up to 10 ft and 3/4 anything deeper.
  14. Used a 500$ giftcard today I bought for father's day at 10% off in combination with the current sale. To say I stocked up is an understatement...
  15. I would just contact LiveTarget. Great company to communicate with for customer service. I've had one frog from livetarget where the back end took on water, but it still caught fish for me. Also, if you trimmed it at all, that could be part of the problem.
  16. 6'8 casting MMF crank and jerkbaits 6'10 spinning MF light t rigs, dropshot, flukes 7' casting HF heavy jigs, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits 7' casting MHF t rigs, swim jigs 7' casting MFshaky heads, senkos 7'6 casting MHF A-Rigs 7'6 casting MF swimbaits/buzzbaits 7'6 casting XHXF frogs
  17. All kills from this year also
  18. My other biggest passion besides fishign is whitetail hunting and waterfowl hunting here in upstate NY!
  19. I also use a president on a fenwick HMX, great combo for the price.
  20. 50# braid with a 12# fluoro leader (if a leader at all) has been working for me in moderately thick cover.
  21. I'll use a vibrating jig with a chunk on the back in situations like that or a tube and just bounce it hard right near them until they get interested.
  22. Nothing beats a tube, green pumpkin, watermelon/chartreuse, black/blue, or white, especially out here on lake erie.
  23. As of late I've been able to get great bites on slow days witha texas rigged Gambler Lures Why Not in shadow blue, not moving it very far but bouncing it hard just outside of heavy cover.
  24. I'm thinking of picking up a couple powell rods, probably endurance series, as per many recommendations. Is there a better place to buy than tackle warehouse? I've seen a few members mention that they got them for $150 or so. If there is any other series of rod they make you may suggest feel free. Thanks.
