I agree but I think his problem is not dragging the fish. How is he gonna do that by grabbing the line if the concrete is ten feet out? In a perfect world you never want to lift fish out with your rod, but you do what you gotta do. I've yanked tons of little 4 pounders out with my rod.

Favorite tactic... deep weed lines, shallow humpsn lots of carolina rigged plastics and jigs.

Ok maybe like a 7 ft 3 or so MH fast action. That rod should give a little more reach and have the backbone to lift a fish. Good luck and super tight lines friend!

That's tuff man! Maybe a longer rod so you don't have to drag the fish. Or a long handled net could work. I would release them by just walking up to the water.

I too am in the market for a bottom plastics / jig rod 1/4 to 1/2 or so. What about duckett? Does anyone use the ghost for this application and if so what are your thoughts?

Lol I fish from a tube so I have to remember to pack some walking shoes. Nothing worse than getting caught out on the water when the wind picks up and having to head to shore with nothing but fins to get you back to the truck!

I think it's ignorant to judge people who have a few beers when fishing. I don't need beer to fish but don't see a problem with responsibly having a cold one on the water! I don't drink and drive and never litter. But every know and then me and my dad or grandpa will share a 6 pack. I feel it is never Ok to litter but on my waters it's totally legal to have a beer. I've even been stopped by a warden who said he drinks on the sac river on his days off.

Wow. Just received my tw order of these jigs. They have nice hooks but are made with really cheap skirts and the larger sizes have no trailer keeper. Not impressed strike king. Next time I'll spend a little more and go with seibert. Any body use these jigs? What's your opinions.
