  1. Duckett ghost for right at 99.99
  2. Mmmmm crappie
  3. Nice fish but she has a slack belly.
  4. Make sure that when you release the spool and the lure hits the ground the spool only continues to turn 1/4 or less of an inch. Use at least 30 lb braid this is equivelent to 10 or 12 lb mono.
  5. Either your cast control knob is a bit loose or you may have put the braid on too loose. What pound braid?
  6. Oh yes you best have a paddle.... how about a wood bread board tied to PVC. Lol
  7. Sure. Make sure you have rod floats. I love my float tube but it was 150 on sale plus fins.
  8. If you already been using braid just stick with it. Sometimes even people who have used baitcasters a long time get backlashes. Remember to reset your cast control when you switch lure. When does it backlash? Beginning. Of cast or end?
  9. Probably due to the depth.
  10. I agree with the sharp hooks comment. I fish from a float tube and have no problems
  11. These questions are hard. I have the best "luck" when I am able to match my lure to the situation. Locate the fish, use a lure that best reaches those fish, and match your color based on conditions. I'm catching good numbers on Carolina rigs because I'm fishing deeper points and ledges.
  12. YouTube how to use a senko. It pretty much has a built in action which makes it user friendly.
  13. Get some 3/0 gamakatsu ewg hooks and some senkos in a darker color like June bug. Rig em weightless and cast em to weedlines, fallen trees and anyother shoreline cover. Fish early in the morning and later in the evening. That's about as simple as I can make it. Good luck.
  14. Some times I scuff up the ends of senkos. I also will occasionally shorten plastic baits.
  15. Nice an healthy.

This is also my year of the jig. The last several weeks that's all I take with me. Jigs and trailers. Its starting to pay off.
  17. Setting the drag with the rod "loaded" will give an extremely accurate setting. After you set your drag pull the line up by the reel and learn how it feels. I usually set mine by hand. Improper. Drag setting is responsible for a ton of negative line reviews.
  18. Also that is not how you set the drag. Set up your line and reel. Have one person hold the rod at 10 o'clock. Then pull down on your line. You will have much different numbers.
  19. Get a float tube guys.
  20. What grease can I use from an automotive. Store to re grease a cheap spinning reel.
  21. I've been curious about the ardent reel with permanent 22 lbs of drag. Might be a good action due to it being specifically designed for pitching and flippin.
  22. Understood. Tom is a very experienced angler with alot of great advise. Im sure he wasn't trying to sound arrogant.
