so I called abu for some parts for an old ambassadeur. the tech told me to send it in to them and I get a new bc for 45 percent off. What are the opinions regarding th revo s etc

does anyone know if I can use the four slot pinion, gear and new six pin brake system from a newer abu garcia ambassadeur to up grade my old ambassadeur reel?

oil your brakes.... not alot but just a little. put a drop on the end of a q tip and lightly oil the spool were the brakes make contact.

pins in is brakes off pins out is brakes on for centrifugal and magnetic brakes have a dial lower to higher corresponds to level of brakes

My question is, will a newer line guide pawl work on this older reel. They apear the same. I plan on upgrading this reel to 4 bearings essentially making it a curado. The reel is super nice and I want to fix it up.

already dismantled and completed maintenance. the reel has two shielded bearings

foot plate on mine is 770400

how can upgrade the drag on an old ambassadeur. also what size bearings

just got given an old reel and need help iidentifying. foot plate reeds 770400. I completely relubed the reel and she works well. I would like to upgrade the drag and maybe get some new bearings for it. any help or advice would be great

have you guys specifically used it for jigs

I am getting ready to purchase a worm and jig rod. heaviest jig I throw is 3/8 plus trailer. been thinking of *** black or duckett ghost. any feedback for a good rod for this specific application. thanks.

When you are new to this take pictures and have the reels schematic handy

Very hard to answer this question. Open reel back up and make sure the main gear and spool pinion gear are lined up. Make sure spool bearings are correctly installed. Thats about all I can think of as far as the parts effecting spool rotation
