Weird Rigging
There are traditional ways to rig plastics like Texas, Carolina, & wacky, but do you ever rig it differently? I took this tube and rigged it backwards so that the tentacles look like wings or legs of a bug. Caught a small bass on the first cast. How do you rig things differently?

Multispecies Pond
There is a small pond, maybe 30ft by 15ft and 5-10ft deep, near my house. I have seen and caught sunfish, bass (0-1 lb ish, mostly on the lower end), goldfish (probably some kids pet), crawfish, and shad. what i want to know is what are the best lures and rod/reel set up to catch all of them. I typically take my entire tackle box, but i would rather only take a few lures and one rod, and suggestions?

Little Cleo 1/3 Oz
How to fish them? Just cast and reel. Try different speeds and maybe even do this during your retrieve.

Inline Spinners
they are great for new water that you dont know what kind of fish live in there. I like panther martin, but they are fairly expensive, so i like mepps too. You can catch anything on them.

Crank-Bait Basics
I have never used a crankbait before, but I am thinking about trying them out. I have a few questions about them, though. I will be fishing from shore, so shallow diving baits are probably my best bet, but: What type of bait should I use(fat body, longer body, round or squarebill) What is a good brand when to use them

What Would Be
to me, trout are above bass because i tend to catch more. something about seeing a rainbow jump is just great. But ill fish for whatever is available. My local pond has sunnies, bass, shad, carp, and probably more that i havent caught yet.

How To Catch Trout
small spinners and spoons work well I like panther martins because they are small but relatively heavy, which helps in moving water kast master or little cleo spoons work well, but i like the Kastmasters better because the cleos have a big hook, which can either lower your hookups or mutilate your smaller fish I also use pliers to pinch the barb on my hooks, especially trebbles. This is for the fishs safety and your conveneince when unhooking them I like smaller streams because i can cover more of the river with my casts, so i can get to the fish 4 lb mono or flouro works, go too heavy and you'll get thelight lure about 5 feet depending on the area around the water, get a longer or shorter rod. If you use a longer rod and are not careful around trees, you'll spend more time losing lures than fishing I like early morning best because that is typically when fish feed and also there are less people, so they may be more open to biting

I've About Had Enough!!!
one thing my dad has taught me is to stick to a lure longer. I tend to fish one for about five minutes and change, but he takes about one or two and sticks to them. Almost always catches one before me.

Generic Or Brand-Name
Is there really a big difference between the brand name plastics and the ones made by Bass pro, Cabela's, or Gander mtn? specifically the stick baits and finesse worms.

White River Trout
Those little Cleo's work well, they just have a big hook so they might tear up the small trouts' mouths. A couple spinners MUST be on that list. Silver or gold blade if the waters clear. Panther Martin's are some of the best.

Numbers Baits
What are some favorite lures for catching lots of fish pretty quickly. Usually I can only fish for about two to three hours on a weekend morning, and I'm curious about how to make the most of the time. I realize that every day the conditions will be different and different lures' effectiveness will change from day to day, but I'm curious about what generally works for everybody. Im also fishing from shore.

Been Sometime Now
Sometimes I buy a new lure and find that it doesn't work like I thought it would. I still have favorite lures that will be used more that others, too.

Sound I Use Braid
So what are some preferences as far as brands? I don't want to spend too much.

Sound I Use Braid
so should I have a backing or leader?

Sound I Use Braid
So I am limited to two rods and I'm a multi- species guy so I have a "big fish" 6ft 6 med fast action which i use for bass ( i hope to start using it for walleye, and small pike) and a "small fish" 5ft ultra light mod- fast action for trout and panfish, both are spinning tackle. Right now I'm curious about my "big fish" rod. I have had 10lb mono on it and had trouble with hooksets on small large mouths. I am considering braid but I don't really want to use a leader so I'd like to know if I should use braid, mono, or flouro. The water where I usually fish is fairly murky ( about 1 to 1.5 ft visibility) and I fish exclusively from shore. I mainly use Texas rigged or weightless plastics, small swimbaits( 2 inches), inline spinners, and spinner baits. Any advice helps.
