  1. Another vote for Guidewear!
  2. When fun fishing I'll go with a dinger or stik-o, but when money is on the line then it is a yamamoto for me.
  3. I know a boater who may need a link. PM me.
  4. Dobyns Fury 733 Shimano Citica 6:1 12lb Big Game
  5. Can't offer a lot of input about trailers, but there will surely be some knowledgable folks chime in. Also, welcome from another Loiusvillian.
  6. I appreciate the updates. If anything, it keeps the site from getting stale. Where is the link to the contest for the gift card? I saw it at the top the page when i originally opened the page, but ignored it because i was afraid it was just spam and now i cannot locate it.
  7. I believe the grub you are referring to is called the Yum Gonzo grub.
  8. I think you meant Heddon. Anyway I just googled the Heddon Crazy Crawler and can't believe how similar it is to the Pompadour. Well, similar enough that I'm not sure the Pompadour is worth the extra $$$.
  9. I haven't fished the Denali, but do have a few Furys. I like them and find they balance well with the Citicas and Tournament MG'S that I have on them. Unless I were throwing 1/4oz spinners and chatterbaits, I'd probably go with the Fury 734 instead of the 733. I find the 734 to be better all around than the 733.
  10. I carry the cheapest split ring pliers I could find (Cabelas brand $7.99) since i dint use them all that much along with some kids scissors for braid and a pair of Kobalt needle nose pliers that I had in my toolbox.
  11. Same here. Happy with it so far.
  12. I have some of the 90s. This is my first 130 size. Like the previous post alludes, I sort of feel like a sheep getting played like investors on the wolf of wall street, but....I thought the same about the ned until I tried it. And if it is a total bust, maybe I can trade it on here for some senkos.☺
  13. I love bladed jigs. Caught my PB on a 3/8 black and blue one. I'll typically use a steady retrieve as well, but stop and let it drop if I feel it is too high in the column. However different weights can address this as well.
  14. Look at rhem today at BPS and debated on getting it, but opted to wait until others report on its effectiveness. Did get a regular 130 in bone color though.
  15. To clean the eyes, I just spray some line conditioner on them and wipe off with a paper towel. Then I usually wipe down the rest of the rod with the conditioner that's on the paper towel.
  16. I throw the 90 on a Dobyns Fury 734 a and the 130 on a 735 with either mono or braid.
  17. I've read lots of posts on here recommending Seaguar Red Label as a good inexpensive fluorocarbon line.
  18. Fell victim to the monkey and went back today and got the coat while it was on sale too.
  19. Cabelas has 10% off their clothes/shoes. I got a set of Guidewear bibs and coat that was already 25% off (and then 10% more on top of that).
  20. I wouldn't use flouro for a top water since flouro sinks. I'll let others chime in on the lb test, but I'd use mono or braid.
  21. Google it is for me. Researching led me to consistently finding myself on site.
