  1. X2. I would flip out a senko or ned before they came back. Once they come back fish them just like you are bed fishing. Slow and subtle movements.
  2. I've had luck with the wobbler in local ponds over the last few days reeling painfully slow. Also use the same tactic with the naked rage blade tipped with a smoke shad rage menace rigged vertically.
  3. Seconded man. Welcome aboard. Don't worry about technique specific stuff just yet. I started out with ugly sticks and zebco reels. You will start to hone in and accumulate as time goes on. Look forward to meeting you some time.
  4. Skullcandy. Pretty sure we got ours at academy
  5. #bknaplifesmatter. Lmao!
  6. Stitches are out!!! She did great! Hopefully all done with doctors for now just so long as the scaring isn't too bad.
  7. The booyah poppin pad crasher is all I throw anymore. Can walk great but can pop when needed. I'd still fish it if it was behind cover. I also started putting a jig rattle or 2 in the frog to help dial fish in a bit.
  8. Blue worked at cabelas for 5 years I think
  9. Long story short my 3 year old daughter was screaming daddy and just wanted to hold my hand. The doc kept nudging me out of sight, and my daughter would start screaming again. I explained that I could help keep her calm to limit her stress and his time... to which he told me if I didn't calm down he would have me removed. My response was rude, abrupt and childish, but it was a passionate moment. I turned to him and explained there wasn't enough people in the room to remove me and if he tried he would be an ER patient, rather than a dr. I'm not proud, but wasn't in a position to be screwed with either.
  10. He is gonna live to fight another day. Daughter got bit in the face by a dog at my father in laws. Spending all time with her.
  11. Stitches are supposed to come out in 5-7. Hoping it heals well but we have a good contact for a pediatric dermatologist if needed. Thanks for the good wishes.
  12. Friday was the worst day of my life. Father in law was watching the girls for us so we could both work half a day. At 1130 I got a call that his extremely large male golden retriever bit my youngest daughter. I drove 70mph on the side roads of prairie village to Waldo and blew every light I came to. When I arrived I saw the damage and rushed her to the nearest hospital I knew of. St Joseph at 435 and state line. The dog got her in the face.... her cheek caught the worst, and there was a deep puncture just under her eye. Stitches, glue a lot of crying from her as well as me, a threat to the ER doc and we were finally discharged. It looks so terrible. Now I'm in the battle with my wife and in laws over the fate of the dog. I'm not budging on this one, so I guess time will tell. She hasn't left my arms since, and needless to say, daddy is still on the edge.
  13. I was under this impression as well.... the junk ones back then were really the good ones, and the good ones back then are really the junk ones.
  14. My great grand dad did the old trapper trick. Soak black walnuts and coat the stove in that. That stove still looks like it did the day he got it.
  15. My God, my Country, my Family and Friends. Everything else is a luxury.
  16. AKA: big bills property
  17. Funny. I'm gonna go with ethics and morals meant something there.... unlike what we live in
  18. If it's that shallow of a pond slap on a pair of waders and go out waste deep. I have to do that at some of the ponds I fish back home.
  19. Jeez... I wouldn't need a church van with 7 kids... Only ride I'd have is a hearse... 2 kids keep me chasing my tail and questioning my sanity most of the time! Congrats on the new ride. Father-in-law has one almost identical. Slick SUV's.
  20. Yup, I start reeling right before it hits the water and it's churning water immediately.
  21. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Bill, better leave a drum stick out for BF!
  22. I'm not kicking anyone for going. Hell, had I not been at LOZ the entire weekend before I would have been right there with you. Just knew it wasn't going to be worth hearing it at home, and after hearing the reports it wasnt. I'm sure that lake will "turn on" soon.
