Do you care about catching fish or what he posts on social media? Sounds like he's got a good fishing hole. I'd lean more towards the first opinion.

They've already closed down 3 stores here in Pittsburgh months ago. Those 20% prices will soon become 30-40-50-60-75%. The thing is the selection gets smaller and smaller as that discount gets bigger. And no returns either, so don't think you'll buy at 20% off and then swap it out once it's at 75%.

Not exactly what I was looking for while I was trying to fill my limit during my tournament on Sunday, but it was my first spotted muskie that I've ever caught, so I was pretty proud of it.

I have been running the 15 and 17lb. on my Chronarch MGL's for about 2 months now. I've bought 6 more spools of it because of the sale and it seemed to be performing pretty well thus far. After spending a fair bit of time with it, I will say that it's a bit stiffer than my Sniper FC that I normally run, but it's still manageable with the help of some KVD L&L conditioner. The diameter of this stuff is a fair bit thicker when compared to Sniper FC. The 20lb. Sniper FC is a smaller diameter than the Tactical 17lb. This factor alone is probably why I find it a bit stiffer. Overall, I've had no issues with break offs or knot tying. It's certainly a great deal at the BOGO deal.

Given what your price range looks like, I'd recommend finding a used Chronarch E5. If you're dead set on one of those three, then I'd go with the Orra Winch.

My entire team is between 39th and 61st currently. Hopefully a few of those guys find some nice fish this afternoon.

Most crankbaits are weighed without hooks and split rings. So those will add on a marginal weight difference.

I use 12lb. Sniper FC for 95% of my cranking needs. DT6's dont' really ever get me much more than 6 feet deep. A DT10 I can get down to 12-13'. With Suffix 832 in 40lb. test, I can get a DT10 down around 10-11'.

Trigger reset is not bad at all on the new LCP II. I'm telling you guys, go to your local shop and check out this thing. There's a few holster companies making nice little IWB holsters for the LCP too. Check out Vedder Holsters and Windhill Holsters. I'm not saying the LCP II is the perfect pocket sized gun, but I'm really impressed with mine. I've shot the 938 and I did not like the super long double action trigger pull. I couldn't hit anything with it. I'm not too bad with my PX4 Storm or 686 in double action, but that 938 pull was very hard for me to shoot.

I don't know why you would want to break your brand new reel... However applying the brakes is usually a good idea. If you read your manual, it will explain how the braking system works. My three Chronarch MGL's all came with all 4 brakes on. Turning a brake on or off is as easy as pushing the brake tab in towards the center or pulling it out away from the center. There's an external adjustment wheel to fine tune from 1-6, but it is only for making very subtle braking adjustments. Those internal brakes are what makes the big difference.

The 105 would be a good choice. I was throwing a 1/16 tex-style rigged 2.8" Keitech on mine with 10lb. fluoro without issues. I'm sure it could handle a 3/16-1/4oz popper without issue. On the Shimano side, I'd say the Curado 70, Aldebaran, or Stile would be a good choice depending on your budget. My Stile will sling a 3/16oz. Shad Rap on a Medium cranking rod a pretty fair distance, so it should throw a popper that has no bill without issue.

Another nice feature - the slide now locks back on the final round.

Trigger is vastly improved. I watched a few YouTube video's during my research and whenever I heard everyone raving how they improved the trigger I knew it seemed like a good buy. The old trigger was straight double action. The new trigger is described as 3/4 cocked single action and the trigger pull is now around 6 pounds. The sites are still milled into the slide, but they're a little bigger than the previous model. Throw a little nail polish paint on the front site and it's good. Bear in mind, this isn't a range gun, so in the event of the need to use it, you probably won't be using the sites anyway.

I'm starting to think the same thing too. Step up to 40 lb. braid and it should help ease this issue.

If you want a nice little pocket toy that won't require you to sell/trade anything away, check out the new LCP II. I got one last week and it's worked great for me so far. They can be easily had for under $300 out the door.

When the water gets really warm and the sun gets high and hot, topwater isn't the best thing to throw mid day. Early morning and dusk are the best times to throw it. However, when the water is in the upper 50's and 60's, it can be effective all day long.

The entire Revo and Veritas line is discounted everywhere. Common sense tells me that there will be a gen 4 Revo series coming and a Veritas 3.0 as well.
