  1. Eh, I guess they do alright... Taken yesterday in Pennsylvania.
  2. I'd take a Chronarch E over anything else at the $150 price point for sure
  3. Is it bad that I noticed the Metanium DC first?
  4. So I stopped by my local Field and Stream last night and wouldn't you know it, they had these in stock. So I bought one to try out. If it actually does what it's supposed to do, I'll be going back and buying a few more. At $20 a pop, its hard for me to buy multiple of something without ever fishing it.
  5. I have been impressed with every Duo lure I have ever bought. I really want to try a few of these out.
  6. *Looks at user name* I don't believe anything you just posted.
  7. I recently bought the Elite 4 HDI with the Lake Insight chip. I'm personally using on a bass boat just for the GPS capability. I paid $200 brand new for everything. If you can swing that, I say go for it. The little bit extra screen will probably come in handy.
  8. Never say no whenever an old timer offers to give you an old lure. With how things have been going for a lot of discontinued baits these days, that old lure could be worth something.
  9. Is this going on a kayak or a boat? I see your avy has you in a kayak, but I didn't know your purpose for it. The reason I ask is because the models with an "X" in the name do not have a GPS/Chartplotter in there. If that is a feature you want/need, I would suggest something else. Also, if this is for a boat, a 3" screen could be hard to see from afar.
  10. How cold are we talking? Are we talking like 35-40* cold? Or are we talking 50-60* cold water?
  11. Thanks guys. I'd really like a handle lock nut in the the champagne color, but they don't make it.
  12. They were bought out by another company. The loyal guys are hoarding up the current one's in case the new one's aren't quite the same.
  13. Bluegill Rapala DT10 Chartruese shiner Rat-L-Trap Black w/ red blade Cavitron
  14. So I tripped and fell down the Japanese custom parts trail...
  15. Field and Stream actually has a pretty impressive selection of stuff and their prices aren't too bad either. Be sure to join their rewards program. You'll get $10 back for every $300 you spend, plus they'll mail you various coupons all the time.
  16. The Frabill F3 and F4 suits are great. Mine hasn't let me done.
  17. I got 2 of the new Crucials last season and I was happy with them. I like the new Zodias, especially since they're "another notch up", but they need to have a few more different length options. With what they currently offer, my needs are already satisfied by other rods in my arsenal.
  18. Can't say I've used the new Zillion TWS, but the Metanium is truly one amazing reel.
  19. Because we all know fishing is a lot like women, the more you spend on them, the greater your return....
  20. How drawn down in the lake still? I saw it was about 6 feet or so about 2 weeks ago.
  21. Looks cool in the photo's. From my past experiences with aurora anodized aluminum, it looks terrible the second you start getting fingerprints all over it.
  22. Most of the lakes are still mostly frozen. Some of the smaller ponds are barely thawed out or are only thawed out where there is moving water coming in/out.
  23. If you can spend a hair more, the St. Croix Musky Mojo rods are a nice option at about $150.
  24. Is that an old Berkley Frenzy?! I haven't thrown one of those in years. I've probably still got a bunch stashed away somewhere.
