What Kind Of Line You Have On Your Baitcasting Reel
I've got a little bit of everything. Most braids get tipped with a FC leader when needed. 40 pound Seaguar Smackdown (all around) 40 pound Suffix 832 (all around) 50 pound Suffix 832 (frogging/heavier applications) 14 pound Sunline Sniper FC (plastics and flipping) 20 pound Suffix 832 (finesse spinning) 30 pound Suffix 832 (spinning) 30 pound Power Pro Slick 8 (salmon spinning) 65 pound Power Pro (musky) I also have the following that I have bought so far this off season that will make it's way into the arsenal. I've bought two new reels this offseason, so those will need something, right? 12 pound Sunline Reaction FC 12 pound Yo Zuri Hybrid 10 pound Pline Floroclear 14 pound Pline Floroclear 15 pound Seaguar Senshi mono 8 pound Seaguar AbrasX FC

Scouting Out Some New Places To Fish
I enjoy taking trips in the water to go discover new water (or ice as is the case here). Gives me something to do and look forward to in the spring. Sometimes you can even talk to the ice fishermen and find out whats in a body of water.

St. Croix premier is $130. Best you'll probably get in your range.

Ebay is usually good for this kind of stuff.

What Kind Of Fluorocarbon To Buy?
I'm not a big fan of red label. Invisix is soft and stretchy, as mentioned above. AbrasX is stiffer. I prefer it for a leader, and not a mainline. Sniper FC is my favorite for a mainline.

My Week Of Deals
I've never used them. Only palmed them in the store. I hear good things though. My lineup is mainly all Shimano. This will be my second Daiwa.

My Week Of Deals
With this time of year being what it is, there are great deals out there everywhere to be had. Some of these deals are so good, you just can't pass them up. Here's what I came across this week and had to buy. Monday night my buddy was visiting and wanted to go to the local Field and Stream store. As I'm walking around, I notice a St. Croix Avid 7' M-F on the rack is on clearance for $160. I told my buddy "I'll be buying that rod if its still here after the holidays and I have enough left over cash". The next morning, I get two separate emails with a total of $35 in coupons to Field and Stream. So what do I do as soon as I get off of work? Head straight over to the store and I looked that rod over. Everything looked good so I bought it for $125 out the door on a brand new Avid. I thought it couldn't get any better. Fast forward to today, and while cruising around the internet, I find a Tatula Type R for $129 shipped, brand new. So since I just bought a new rod, I need a reel to go with it, right?! Once again, another deal too good to pass up. I was honestly looking to pick up a Chronarch or Core 51, but I couldn't pass up that deal on the Tatula R. The reel is a 6.3:1 and I plan on pairing it up with the Avid. I'm not sure what I'll use it for. It would work great for throwing plastics, or I could also probably use it for topwater and smaller cranks and spinnerbaits. It's really just a great all around rod, so I'm not sure what I'll use it for, but either way I have myself a Tatula R and Avid combo for only $255.

The Molix Popper 65 S Is A True Piece Of Art...i Want One In Every Color..anyone Have One?
I ended up throwing one of these into my order yesterday. Got a gift card for my buddy who is getting married next month. The money I saved with the 10% off gift cards basically got me this lure for free.

Shimano Chronarch E Or Shimano Curado I
I own both and I must say they're both very nice reels. You won't go wrong with either. I like the new brakes on the I, as well as the xship. But I also like that the Chronarch comes in a 5:1 left handed model. My best suggestion? Get both.

The Molix Popper 65 S Is A True Piece Of Art...i Want One In Every Color..anyone Have One?
I can't comment on these poppers, but I do have two different Molix crankbaits and I must say I've been very impressed with them. Very good designs, high quality, and the prices aren't out of this world like some other companies.

One Line For All Techniques
I have Suffix 832 (40 and 50 pound) on almost all of my baitcasting reels. I keep a spool of 10 lb. InvisX and 15 lb. AbrasX in my bag for a leader whenever needed. That is for all of my reaction baits, which is what I mostly fish (cranks, jerks, topwater, spinner/chatter baits). I use Sniper FC for all my plastics (12 to 17 pound).

Most Productive Hard Topwater Lure For You
In the past few years, it was a frog colored Skitter Pop. This season, my top producing topwater was easily a 1/4oz. black Cavitron.
