I like the Shimano Sahara 2500 at that price point....can't go wrong! Alot of folks also really like the Pflueger President. I would play with them both at the store and choose which you like best

Hmmmmmmm........Bama fans is puttin an awful lot of pressure on Nick......I expect they will play better but this conference is better all around than in the old Bear Bryant days. Not only does he have to contend with Auburn, LSU, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee but Spurrier has South Carolina playing a whole lot better, Arkansas will be dangerous and even Vandy and Kentucky are much better than they used to be. Mighty tough to rule this conference year in and out! Thats why its so much fun.......GO VOLS!!!!

Think my Yanks can RIP for this year. Hate to lose Torre but it has been a great run and it's probably time for changes and new energy. He's probably worn out and who can blame him. I just hope we can be patient with the minor league system and start rebuilding (like the Brewers) instead of trading them away. How about those Brewers....Nashville is their AAA affiliate and they have more stuff here yet to come. I am enjoying going to some of these games. I think they could show up in the postseason....I'm kind of pulling for them, you have to love watching all that young talent coming of age together.

The bait monkey has convinced me that I need / want a heavy set up. My intended uses would be 1/2 oz plus jigs fished deep and double as a frog rod. The majority of the use would be the jigs. I'm thinking about a St Croix Avid 7' Heavy Fast Rod paired with a Daiwa Fuego or Zillion (6.3:1) and 50 lb braid (power pro or suffix). Just looking for opinions on this set up and alternate thoughts if I'm off base on this choice.

RW has been very consistent with this "favorite". I decided to try his suggestion for 2007 and have been very happy with it.......I'm converted!

Dorm space is limited so if you can combine TV in your computer monitor that is good, a small fridge and small microwave is nice. For outside just have a great time but you will need to bring your common sense and keep your head about you. It's real easy to have too much fun and not pay attention to business.....be careful to balance both. You will need to learn how to do laundry if you don't already.....bring coins for the washers and dryers. Most schools have an orientation.....they are helpful. Good luck and have a great time!
