  1. Good luck with the new gear.....Happy Fishin!!!
  2. I have followed Roadwarriors advice and am very happy I did.
  3. The Citica is a fine reel. I would be surprised if you were not pleased with it.
  4. Agreed....as always an outstanding job by some great folks!!!! Boy did I miss this place but the improvements are really excellent. THANKS!!!!
  5. Sure glad the sites back up so we can keep the Muddy Man out of trouble
  6. Thanks for alll the work Glenn......boy is the site working fast now....excellent job! Sure did miss it while it was gone but am really glad its back up better than ever
  7. With the Viento reel I would go with a 7' rod. I have a viento and really like it but it doesn't seem to cast as far as my other Daiwa's or Shimano's. The extra length will help the casting distance. I also really like the St Croix Avid rod RW suggested.....it's a very nice buy at $153.
  8. OK....now we're all dying to see it.....sooo you HAVE TO put it in there now.....is it like Muddy fishing dressed up like a girl or something????? Thanks for the heads up Glenn....and all your good work on this site!
  9. What a dream......very true.....and funny!!! ;D
  10. Have a great trip....be safe and enjoy!!!!
  11. I voted Shimano because Daiwa was not a choice. My favorites actually are Daiwa for baitcasting and Shimano for spinning.
  12. Congrats and best wishes! BTW....I think you need a new rod / reel for the baby, just tell her it's an investment for the future....
  13. So how many 10 lb'ers did you catch those two days????
  14. Congrats & Best Wishes WPD..... Now we can call you're Mom "The KY Fishin Granny" ;D
  15. I like to use the top half of my finger...don't worry about the hook!
  16. I'm an avid whitewater canoeist. Have both canoed and kayaked the Nantahala many times. It is a great fun river. The rapid you swam thru is called Pattons Run which was named after a gentleman who paddled the river twice a day every day before he died. Have not been there the past couple years but have had many great times there.
  17. I have two words for you MOOK.... they can't be posted here but you know them well!!!
  18. You won't be disappointed with the Powell Rod. I have a 7' MH and it is a great rod.

  20. Excellent.....built by a great guy. Enjoy and catch many with it!
  21. What are three things you want to do before you die......(let's leave the opposite sex out of this....thats a whole other list) For me: 1- Go to an LSU home football game (I want to root for LSU to get in the spirit of it all so it can't be against the Vols). It's got to include the multi day tailgate with all the cajun fixins and has to be a night game. It could be the last and best thing I do before I die......Hey Catt, maybe you could help me with this one 2- Go to a world series game at Yankee Stadium....and see my Yanks win of course 3- Catch my first 5 lb plus bass There's more stuff like spending some time with Muddy in Brooklyn, fishin with LBH in New England, seeing Raul's fishing tackle and fishing in Mexico, fishing in Canada with Rolo, many more BassResource road trips etc....but this is what comes to mind right now!
  22. You guys are really cruel......the Tigers and Diamondbacks have been pretty tough on us! We've already been eaten by the Tigers and bit by the Diamondbacks! :o I think I'm gonna have to go out and get me a Cardinal hat so I can stay in disguise to avoid getting shot by you guys or maybe just get me a couple guns
  23. Man....you guys are brutal!!!! I feel like a target at the shooting range or a deer the day after Thanksgiving What kind of MOOK started this thread anyhow.......
  24. Hey Catt......hate to bring this one up on you, BUT, remember Sept 26, 2005. Our worst season in recent memory but we did comeback in a stadium somewhere in Louisiana....How in the world did you guys ever lose that game????????? ;D No comments about last year.....hats off to Ya'll! :'( NO FURTHER COMMENTS!
  25. No, thats just someone with good taste!
