  1. Nice, best of luck to you!
  2. This might help you a little. I didn't have much luck the last time I was there, Just curious, what tournament is it? A local bass club? http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/109163-topeekeegee-yugnee-park-hollywood-florida/
  3. Hi all, Just wondering how everyone did since that massive rain storm. I went out to my local lake and the water level was much higher but didn't see any kind of activity in the water (bait fish and so on). I went through my regular routine and nothing. I really hope things pick up soon. First it was the on and off cold now the large amounts of rain, I need to hook up to something soon,,,,,,
  4. is the tournament form the shore or on boat?
  5. Hi all, Considering getting into kayak fishing but I have to consider 1st on how to transport to and from. I have been looking at different company kits to use on a Honda Civic. What things should I put on my must buy list? I see so many options for the bars, security and so forth, thats just for the bars not including the other part that would actual hold the kayak. So many options.... Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  6. Hi all, I just wanted to ask if there is that much of a difference with a senko in comparison to other imitations? I have always used the bps stik os but wondering if the original produces more bites. Your experiences are welcome. Thanks in advance,
  7. Nice fish! I haven't had much luck in South Florida but I can see they are active in Jupiter Congrats and welcome!
  8. Hi all, Most of my reels are 6 gear ratios and I am thinking of getting one in 7. What do you guys use your 7 gear bait casters for? I have been trying to learn jerk baiting finish but I find myself reeling more slack and was hoping a 7 gear would ease the trouble with it. Thanks in advance!
  9. Hi all, I recently got a Shimano CI4+ Spinning 2500 mostly for bass. I was wondering if I could use it to fish in saltwater? I live in South Florida so plenty of saltwater species nearby without going off shore on a boat. Is it a bad idea? Thoughts appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  10. It didn't look too bad when I brought it home. I told them the grease seemed excessive so I guess they wiped down the spool down. I feel better about it after a through cleaning but I still see the shimmer from the leftover grease. I will try it out tomorrow and if it's bad, I will probably send it to DVT.
  11. Thanks all, the place acted like it was normal. I thought I was in the wrong. I guess I'll just open it up myself and clean it out. The place is certified for Shimanos. I guess saltwater shimanos LOL
  12. Ahh, your probably right. I was just so surprised when I started to reel and I could see it squeezing it out from the sides X_X
  13. Nope, just freshwater. The place I dropped it to focuses more on salt water stuff. Think the tech didn't know how to deal with a freshwater reel?

  15. Hi all, Just got back a shimano CI4 from the reel shop. It's my 1st giving to someone else to tune up but I was wondering if there should be this much grease in it? When I did a few cast I could see the blue grease coming out from the sides of the spool. The place told me that it was normal. I got home and thought I should open it up to see. The attach photo is what I saw. Is it normal? Am I overreacting to nothing?
  16. That's a lot, what would be your top 2 ?
  17. Hi all, Looking to try some crankbaits that are in the range of 15-20 ft. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
  18. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good lure retriever when your fishing from the bank. Thanks in advance!
  19. I was upset after I lost a lucky craft lipless crank to a snag. I thought for sure, oh well, there goes $15.00. A week later, was using a crankbait and dredged up the same lure I lost. I didn't catch any bass that day but it made my day to retrieve the lure (Early Xmas Present) Ever catch a lure you lost? Merry Christmas all!
  20. I just got the deeper one. Seems ok so far. Now I am able to see the terrain on the lake I go to. The only down size with these type of depth finders is the weight. It's light in hand but 3.5 ounces weighs a lot on a rod. Maybe future renditions will make it lighter. It does the job though.
  21. Thanks Lou! I guess I just wait till things warm up. I even tried a 10ft diving crank even though I know I risk snagging when fishing from shore. I just wanted 1 bite even if it was a small one >_<
  22. Hello fellow Floridans, Need some advise on what to use when fishing from the bank during the colder days. I have tried lipless cranks, senkos, jerk baits, spinner baits and nothing. These are the days when I wish I had a boat to look for where the bass are hiding. Any advise is welcomed
  23. Thanks guys, will try everything you suggested. One more question, What lb line is suggested for the Carolina rig if I am using a 1/2 lb sinker? Is 12 lb fluoro too light?
