Hi all, I have been using the Basspro Lip grip scale for my fishing needs. I mainly got it to help hold the fish while taking out treble hooks. I knew the scale wasn't going to be exact but at least it gave me around how much a fish might weigh. Now I am looking for something more accurate but still the lip grip format because I don't want to gill slit to weigh a fish. I saw that Gambler has their own lip grip digital scale. I was thinking about getting it but I don't see many reviews about it. Has anyone tried it out, is it worth the purchase? Thanks in advance and Happy New Year to everyone!

I fished some heavy pads with it but I do notice it does take on water. Unlike the frogs.

Hi all, Today I went to fish the canal on Flamingo adjacent to CB Smith Park. It was windy again but a sunny day. Temperature was about 80, not sure about the water temp. Fished from 12:30pm to about 4:30 pm with no bass bites. The only thing I caught was a cichild. The baits I used was the shadow rap and a chatter bait.

Tried a Keitech swimbait but the wind wasnt cooperating. Also i was 3-4 feet above the water so it made it a strange angle. Maybe when all this wind passes, i will try there again

Water temp : 75 F degrees Air temp : 80 F degrees Weather : Partly cloudy/ sparse rain showers / high winds 15 Water clarity: Stained Time: 9:30 am - 2:00 pm Lure used: Rapala shadow rap ghost shiner Catches: 3 dink large mouth bass, 1 Ciclide

Have more luck with a Red Eye but my favorite are the Excalibur lipless which are now booyahs

Thanks! Yup I had polarized glasses. It seemed shallow for me since I would count how long it would take my lipless crank bait to hit bottom. Will keep trying. Will probably hit North New River to try there or go more west on Griffin

Griffin road from University drive to Davie road. No activity and the water seemed very shallow. Fished it from 7 am - 11:30 am Skunked!

Nice catch! I get what your saying. I was trying to fish C-11 the griffin road canal and it was just to steep. It didn't help the water seemed low with no activity.

Hi all, I have been fishing the C-9 Snake Creek Canal for a while and I am looking for a change of scenery. Are there any canals anyone could recommend for a bank fisher? Safety comes in mind since I usually fish on my own. Thanks in advance!
