  1. I use dirty jigs California swim jigs from 3/8 oz up to 3/4 oz. I use kietechs, grubs, rage claws, and RI skinny dippers for trailers.
  2. Lucky Craft RTO in aurora citrus or American shad. River2Sea biggie and jackall aska sr aren't bad either.
  3. Send a message to Gary or Richard at Dobyns. They will probably replace it for you
  4. I have Huk, Cabelas, Columbia, Aftco. All have been great
  5. I would say a Daiwa SV103 ($200 at tackle warehouse right now) or JDM Daiwa Zillion SV TWS (around $250 at Japanese websites) paired with a dobyns champion 765 flip ($265).
  6. I use a dobyns 705cb for medium divers and a dobyns 805cb for my deep divers. I use a Megabass Diablo Fast Move x7 for squarebills and lipless.
  7. I know I said I was looking at fiberglass, but I just saw a crestliner that looked pretty loaded. I know it's aluminum. I saw John Cox uses one in the FLW tour. Any thoughts on them? Specifically the PT 20
  8. In no particular order: 1. 10 inch power worm in black with blue tail 2. Senko in watermelon red, green pumpkin, or black with blue tail 3. RI sweet beaver in June Bug 4. Zoom lizard in watermelon 5. Berkley Pit Boss in Okeechobee Craw or green Pumpkin
  9. Lake size will vary. I also will be fishing rivers. Not a tournament angler, but I may fish one here and there. My price range is probably around $30000 to $45000. Will probably have 1 to 2 people with me on most trips. Need decent storage too. I have a ton of tackle, rods, reels.
  10. I am looking to buy my first bass boat. Any recommendations on brands? I am looking at fiberglass boats. Thanks for the feedback.
  11. I have a Zonda that I got for $350. Got a pretty good deal on it. I also have a IP79. Both are great reels.
  12. I use a diawa steez ltd and a diawa sv103 for my pitching duties. The SV spools are great for pitching. I do have a shimano mgl, but I use it for moving baits. I am not a fan of Abu Garcia, so I personally wouldn't get the mgx.
  13. In no particular order watermelon red, green pumpkin with black flakes, black with blue tip, junebug
  14. I got a pretty nice crankbait front them when I bought my zillion sv tws from them. Can't remember the brand though
  15. Megabass Super Red Demon can both do swimbaits and punching, but it's way out of your price range. Over $400. They may be more expensive now because they are out of production. Handles 1/2 oz up to 8 oz lures. I use mine fore double duty when I fish in Mexico so I don't have to take 2 rods.
  16. I have one from Huk, cabelas, and Columbia. I like my Huk one the best.
  17. TW has 5 dollar 2 day shipping and 10 dollar over night shipping. That's where I buy 90% of my tackle. I buy most of my rods now from Gary at Tackle Trap or from Dobyns. I mostly use JDM reels that I get from reputable Japanese websites. I rarely go to stores any more. Maybe to kill some time to look at fishing electronics or boats.
  18. I have used a Dobyns 746dx, Dobyns 765 flip ce, Megabass Black Jungle Super Red Demon, and a Okuma TCS mat daddy. All good rods. I use them for different applications. Dobyns 746dx is for pitching into heavy cover, Dobyns 765 flip is for tossing swim jigs into heavy cover, Super Red Demon is for punching thick mats, and the TCS is used to flip mats and flip thick cover up close.
  19. I run a Daiwa Steez limited 105 on my nrx 844. Works great for me. Balances well too. I on my glx 843, I run a megabass zonda.

I also have a cabela's Advanced Angler bag. It has held up well. I am about to invest in a Lakewood tackle box though.
  21. I throw mine on either a dirty jigs swimjig or a Matt Allen swimbait head.

I wear Costas also. I have 2 pair for fishing copper and green mirror. There are some sale websites that you can get Costas for around $100.
  23. The MGL is butter smooth. I use mine to throw squarebills and lipless cranks. I also have a Met 2013 that is a pretty darn good reel to.
