    Lazy plastics.
  2. Every brand is different. I wouldn't get stuck on one. I personally am a fan or Big Bite Baits, Berkley, and Zoom.
  3. I think that would be a little over his $100 limit.
  4. things do change! But a brand like Kistler is known for great rods all around. Shimano rods have there ups and downs. No way to find out if you like it until you have one in your hands or on the water though.
  5. Buy one and find out! If you like the older one I'm sure you'll like the new one
  6. I have an Inferno and Max 3D, haven't been able to catch a fish on them yet, but got to drag a jig around on the max 3d and its very sensitive, crisp feeling too. I have not used other rods in this price range but i am very impressed
  7. Vmc or Gami. Like the owner misqueto hooks for dropshotting though.
  8. Mono: Trilene Sensation Fluro: Seaguar InvisX or AbrazX
  9. never woulda thought of that. Cool idea.
  10. Has anyone used these for drop shotting? I love the looks of the Missle Baits and these are very original looking. Do the small claws flutter well?
  11. The original shad raps out fish there plastic competitors for me. Something about Balsa cranks that catch fish.
  12. I like a fluro line by me, natural clear lakes it's necessary. I would feel much more confident with braid but then I miss bites
  13. Lews are great reels for the money, never used a tatula but heard a lot of hype about them. Haven't heard anything about the Duckett reels aside from the iCast videos.
  14. Grand slam is actually a good line. Give it a try.
  15. well I got my first revo, love it. But yes, the rumors scared me from purchasing more.
  16. I'm aware there is a huge difference. I didn't want to come off hard headed or "all knowing" I just PERSONALLY think there are some nicer rods. I guess it all comes down to what YOU like.
  17. Exactly, my one revo is great, but with so many rumors of duds I won't be getting another.
  18. I'm aware weight isn't everything, they aren't terribly heavy but after you fish with something much lighter you dont really want to go back.
  19. I said I've only owned a premier and Mojo. I've fished multiple times with avids. Didnt know I couldnt have an opinion on here, thought that was kind of the purpose, instead I get attacked because I think there are better rods out there especially in the price range of a Rage or LTB.
  20. They're made by the same people who make Abu reels.
  21. I normally tie a Palomar know and have had no troubles. Just intrested in what everyone else's favorite knot is! Thanks.
  22. Exactly, not bad rods, they're built excellent and being from Wisconsin I love repping sticks made in my home state. Just not as impressed after I tried other brands!
  23. I'd go with a co polymer line.
  24. M/Xf or MH/F would be my choice. Got myself a Powell Max 723 and it should be great for light to moderate wire jigs.
