  1. I've got a Max 3D 723, Inferno 703, and a Diesel 765, not a problem With them so far!
  2. the run is kinda tailing out here, suckers have taken over, that being said I managed one nice female today! Spawn and since we're talking leader size, I was using 6 pound.
  3. 8? Rather light for a pin isn't it?
  4. still tough to see when their is foam on the water. What kind of mainline do you run?
  5. no, I got a bunch of these. The long stem is great, and it's been a windy season here. my only complaint is what you mentioned, only a very bit is visible!
  6. mine didn't bleed at all!
  7. I know a lot of guys are Fenwick fans on here. I am not, ive broke two of them and they're kinda heavy, but if it works for you, good! I think both rods broke due to manufacture defects, both broke first time using them. I think the Max series of reels are some of the best for the money, I still have my blackmax from when I got into baitcasting equipment
  8. Crystal Avons are the best slow water float around, they do really good in the wind too!
  9. I can get the raven $30 cheaper anyways! How do you like the clarus? I have one of their steelhead spinning rods that I like.
  10. I use red braid mainline, it's great! Shows up good and it looks cool.
  11. I like Drennon floats of all kinds, and a few my pal gave me, not a clue what they are but they're great! as far as Ravens floats, what would be the best for Depths of like 3 to 5 feet and medium to slow current?
  12. Since this has turned into more of a steelhead talk, what kind of floats do yo. Guys like using?
  13. it looks really nice, he says they arent made anymore though. And if you find them it'll hurt the pocket book.
  14. I'd get the Fast, and heavy will probably give you a bit less distance but I'd rather have a heavy fishing around grass.
  15. I didnt ask why, he fishes with a reel not made anymore, I wanna say it's called a Mykis?
  16. a very experienced steelheader I fish with said to stay away from Okumas reels, so I think ill end up getting a Raven Matrix!
  17. Looking at trying one of the two As a dropshot rod, I really like the color and handle on the Gl2, but as people say, they're kinda heavy? The E6X looks nice, but is it a better rod than the Gl2? Anyone use both That can help me out?
  18. I would not cast with it. they're heavy, not made for throwing baits all day.
  19. Spinnerbaits. Small t rigs, light wire jigs, jerkbaits, pretty versatile.
  20. I leave them on the spool. put them in a gallon bag. Then in my back pack. No need to pre cut leaders, take your time.
  21. how did you get the handle on the other side!
  22. Downrigger rods dont need to be too beefy, we use 7' 6" on our downriggers, 8'9" on dispseys and 10' for boards
