Best Season For A Spinnerbait?

Featured Replies

What is the best season for a spinner in your opinion?

All of them, but I don't have to wait for ice out.

Fall seems the most logical. I really don't think it matters though. All of them.

They catch fish all year long, but I usually don't pick one up until the water hits about 50 degrees. In colder water I seem to do better on a rattletrap or jerkbait

Like most bass lures, spinners work year-round, but that wasn't your question.

In my experience, spinnerbaits work 'best' in early spring and again in late fall,

a winter sandwich you might say  :bushy-browed:

Prespawn-Fall

Best times for me are prespawn, post spawn, summer and fall

;)

All year! You can fish them at every depth and every speed to change it up for different situations.

Some folks may disagree with me, but to be honest, I actually think they work the very best, far and above, during fishing season.

Sometimes they also work during the Hunting Season

By golly, I might have to try that.

Lol, yelp, they work excellent during spring

Turkey season.. Windy, spring days on wind blown banks have always provided fish for me.

( spinnerbaits )

All year.

They're at their best any time the water is wet.
