The Pfluger Supreme
line twist ushually isn't the reels fault man. most times it's from not watching your line, reeling against the drag, and mono or lines with lots of memory that need to be broken in.

What Constitues A Confidence Lure
in fact knowing that i worked a bait every way possible and more, weather i catch a fish or not tells me that I'm confident in that bait. sometimes old reliable ain't so reliable, but the fact that you gave a lure a good run shows you are confident in it.

What Constitues A Confidence Lure
"confidence lures" to me are lures that i put the time in to get good at using. lures that i have many tricks or techniques with. the more ways you can present a bait the more likely you are to get bit. the more you get bit, the more confidence you gain.

The Pfluger Supreme
along with those diffrences the supreme is smoother at higher retrieve speeds. apparently the president feels a little rougher when reeling fast.

The Pfluger Supreme
im talking about the baitcaster. lol and judging by the reviews its a little better than the president.

Yellow Perch
they taste great, but yes the better the water quality the tastier they'll look lol the water i fish them in is crystal clear. and guitarglynn1 sometimes, but i keep the needle nose handy. especially because yellow perch are super sharp lol they'll tear you up if you aren't careful.

Yellow Perch
there's a lake here in maine called "long lake" and it has lake trout, salmon, brooke trout and yes YELLOW PERCH. infested if you ask me haha, me and my friend wanted to stock our freezers with em' for winter and we went out there at 7AM to the same spot they're always at and caught 75 within that hour. once the frenzy was over we left. a little crappie crankbait and ultra light spinning outfit will catch perch after perch at their feeding hour.

Summer And Fall Smallies
from my experience crankbaiting, working jigs and drop shotting along with other rigged soft plastics techniques work best in fall. summer is when the topwater, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits shine most. thats just based off what i've had luck with.

Dirty Water Smallmouth
there's a pond i fish for smallies that kinda fits this description. For these conditions i ushually go with black, green pumpkin, or a darkish blue for foft plastics. brown craw colored jigs and trailers, and chartreuse spinnerbaits and crankbaits. I'll occasionally use white/translucent as well. so when the waters stained pretty nicely i'll start with BLACK BLUES GREENS BROWNS CHARTREUSE WHITE/TRANSLUCENT at lease a few of these colors should pay off.

Anyone River Fish This Time Of Year Up North?
the water's extremely cold right now where i'm at, ponds are partially frozen. but as far as the rivers go your best bet is the ol' drop shot and jigs... slow presintations.

Lefty And Righty
I realized that when fishing spin reels we all either use our left or right hand to retrieve, the same with baitcasters. NOW, I also realized a lot of people dont like left hand retrieve baitcasters... even those who will use a spin reel to retrieve LEFT HANDED. whats the diffrence between using a spin reel left handed and a baitcaster left handed? i dont but im just curious. i notice a lot of people like myself will cast a baitcaster with their right hand and then switch hands to retrieve with their right hand as their left holds the reel. knowing this makes me wonder why people (including myself) who use left hand retrieve spin reels dont use left hand retrieve baitcasters as well. I dont know why im lefty with spin reels and righty with baitcasters but it's just comfortable for me. my main reason for this post is to hear other's thoughts and opinions as well as point out the fact that if you're lefty with a spin reel and righty with a baitcaster you shouldn't find using a left hand retrieve baitcaster that unushual (or should you?). NOT that i want/like left hand retrieve baitcasters. lol and thats another thing why dont people like left hand retrieve baitcasters? personally i'm just used to how i fish and learned on a right handed reel.
