  1. Haven't seen or fished that pattern but looks sweet! Looks like a clear water killer.
  2. A-Jay, I will send you my address right now. I like perch Megabass 110's thanks!
  3. Been fishing Megabass for years. Never had one break. Not saying it can't happen but hasn't with any of the models I have owned. Fished both series of Orochi XX and a couple Destroyers.
  4. I just went to the garage and broke my destroyers in half. You say its Levante?.....be right back.
  5. Here in Michigan and most places Ive fished these. In this order... silver white perch green variations blue variations
  6. Jerkbait fishing is one of my favorites. All these work awesome and are under $15 or close anyway Lucky Craft pointer SP (100 size is the best) my opinion Luckestrike STX (swap out hooks and get nice ones) Duo Realis Storm twitch stick Rapala shadow rap and shadow rap shad Rapala bx balsa Rapala rip stop Yo Zuri 3DB Rapala Xr8 and Xr10 May want to try a Megabass Vision 110 if you can find a sale.....They are unreal.
  7. Is it a Megabass rod? Ive noticed the cork for some reason on orochi and destroyer will do that when U40 is applied.
  8. I own several Ci4, stradics, and LT tatulas. If I buy another it would be Stradic hands down. Sure the Daiwa is light but not near as refined. My opinion anyways....
  9. That's weird. If Rapala was going to buy into a rod/reel company you think they would have gone for Favorite
  10. I've tried the trick darter and its not my favorite. Its a nice looking bait but doesn't cast far or dive very deep. Sold them. Just bought an ito shiner since that is one I have not fished yet.
  11. Nice find. Love all LC pointer and Megabass offerings. I have thrown dozens of different brands and styles and keep coming back to these brands and fish them 90% of the time I am on the water. Fish them anywhere! A-Jay - I'll give you $100 for the lot
  12. HW38, have you fished the rod a lot or not much? I have owned a few glx rods and just bought a 842S and I love these rods and the handle more than any other spinning rod. I know everyone is different but man I can't find a complaint with this handle.
  13. Just had this on a Ballistic 2500. I noticed the line lay different after switching in a jerkbait vs casting a crank or spoon with a steady retrieve. Had new Fireline just put on. I believe tension was a factor. If it was a steady retrieve it looked fine if pauses or twitches were used for the jb it was all at one end.
  14. A magic eraser will take U40 off if you want to apply a new coat. I bought a nrx before with a really crappy U40 job and it worked well for me.
  15. I would take a Destroyer, GLX, or NRX over any custom or Kistler offering. Custom rods are awesome but hold little value to someone else when selling. My 2 cents
  16. You do not need the receipt. Email Loomis and send it in. Expeditor program or repair you will be just fine.
  17. I've done some of the butt ends on rods where the cork is different with no issues. I had an HMG with the cork you are referring to and I never had any issues with that rod pitting just a little discoloration. Could always try a small area but I bet you would be fine.
  18. Hey guys, curious if anyone has ever fished this rod before from the 'black' reaction series. Looks like it may have been marketed as a shallow/ mid depth cranking rod. Curious if anyone is familiar with it?
  19. I recently started using U40 on all cork rods and its an awesome product. Use a super light coat. Changes the feel slightly but barely noticeable. I've applied to 10+ rods so far. Jar goes a long way.
  20. I am somewhat familiar with both of these rod series. I still have a 6-10 crucial M (black) that I use for jerkbaits rated for 5/8 oz and I have also owned the LTB in the plastics model. Depending on the size of jerkbait you are going to fish I would fish the LTB for 1/2 oz - 5/8 oz. and fish one of the crucials for smaller baits like a trick darter or pointer 78. I have not fished the 6-6 crucial but would try a couple topwaters on it and see how it handles them. I would think it would be great for smaller poppers. You will cast better with a spook on the LTB. Great choices on both rods though. They both are nice wacky rig/ plastic rods too.
  21. MB does replace 110's with a broken lip. If the bait truly broke without contact being made to something all you have to do is send it in after emailing them. MB customer service is very helpful.
  22. MB spinning rods are my favorite. I have fished every high end spinner I could get my hand on and keep coming back to the MB rods. Orochi XX rods are awesome. Addermine is unreal as well. If you like jerkbaits look up the ronin.
  23. Several sellers/scammers with 100% feedback and new accounts on eBay are using stolen credit cards to purchase from BPS and Cabelas (drop ship). They receive payment into their PayPal and on they go. I went through this last year. Once reported the seller will have his/her account suspended and they just start up a new one with another stolen card. I've seen this with coffee makers, sporting goods, electronics and more. I called eBay, PayPal, and Cabala's trying to sort this out on a purchase. Avoid this seller and buy from a trusted one like ALF or similar.
  24. Just purchased the ML 6-10 spinning. Haven't fished it yet. The light was also a rod I was interested in but decided on the ML. Seems like a great drop shot rod, small cranks, finesse tactics. Craftsmanship is really nice! I like the fact they are fast and not XF action.
  25. I have fished both rods. The 802S is more limiting on what you can fish with it. Only rated for 1/4oz. It is a good choice but I would go with the 852S hands down. Length wise is not that noticeable for kayak fishing. 7'-1" out of a kayak is no problem for me.
