  1. I think Gary did fish these and the Steez side by side. I have several Steez AGS rods and they are awesome rods. They are not being sold off for new Xtreme rods. If you want a rod that will go head to head with Xtreme and is cheaper buy a Steez AGS.
  2. Nasci's are sweet for their price pt. I have a 3000 and buying a 2500 too. Great for inshore too.
  3. Go with the 6'-11' MH spinner for that. 6'-7" is a very light power rod. More finesse. I just received the 6'-11" for jerkbaits. Granted I'm talking 1/2 oz baits. Maybe little guys you could. I throw smaller jerkbaits on a 842S. 6'-7" is a cool stick though.
  4. E6X is a fine rod w/ a great warranty. I would go with a 7'-1" for the added length. Will look awesome with that reel too.
  5. I have the 842S in GLX and love the rod but it is a light power medium in my opinion. If you wanted to throw more than 3/8 oz. I highly suggest the 843S. I totally agree with others. The conquest is a sweet stick but destroyer addermine, steez AGS, poison adrena ect… seem right there with it and they have a cleaner build too. If you found one for a steal try it out!
  6. Fished so many different baits shallow and the best two in my neck of the woods are Megabass griffon and the discontinued Lucky Craft CB zero.
  7. That would make sense. Their new fly rods have the name 'plus' as well. Full cork? yes please.
  8. NRX is nice. Also check out the poison adrena 6'11 MH, extreme old or new style, GLX 852S, or Steez AGS Medium F.
  9. All are great reels but prefer stradic. I like the fact they work for inshore use. They are very comparable.slight edge to Ci4....my opinion
  10. Fishing almost all stradics, Ci4, and a couple tatula LT, kage reels. I cant imagine someone not liking a Ci4 at this price pt.
  11. Do you like the metanium so far?
  12. Had the 6-10 light and liked it. Was looking for something a little longer and ended up selling but I was impressed with it. I think its up there with the destroyer rods for sure. I think its more sensitive than expride and maybe close to GLX or on par. Very comfortable to fish too. Not sure what model Tywithay had but different strokes. If you like Daiwa go after a steez AGS. These are impressive and have really nice craftmanship.
  13. Depends.....do you like to enjoy the battle and let the bass have fun too or do you like winching them in skipping the bass across the water and flipping it into your boat? My vote is spinning hands down that aside they both do have their time and place. You fish heavy cranks (casting) lighter stuff I always fish spinning.
  14. I have not fished any casting models. All were spinning. Thanks
  15. MB ronin, 842S, MB Valkyrie, extreme 7 M all are great!
  16. Fenwick HMG and Daiwa Ardito for budget. Best I've fished is Loomis Escape. Not super sensitive but landed monsters on them. Medium 7' is my favorite. Take two to Florida every year. Can be found pretty easy but they are discontinued.
  17. This thread is for listing your highest end gear not if its worth it or not. -Conquest 842 / Stradic Ci4 3000 -Megabass Valkyrie / Stradic Ci4 -Steez AGS / Tatula LT -Orvis Helios / Lamson (fly)
  18. Love fishing DS in any depth. One of my favorites is fishing docks with it. Grab a light plus or ML spinning rod and catching big bass under docks mid summer when boat traffic is busy. Love it. Hey!! did you just hook my pontoon cover?!! Wasn't me
  19. another fun fact. Ebay collects tax now
  20. Buy it man! That is a great store to buy from. No scam there and I have bought from them before. There are a few sellers with zero feedback or not much and they drop ship items from retailers with stolen credit cards. This is not one of them. Buy with confidence and also know PayPal is insured.
  21. correct! a second hand used $500 dollar rod
  22. In my experience this is very try. GLX and Conquest have been decent builds and the nrx has not been. Elite is a very nice rod but not on nrx sensitivity level. I am trying out a few Daiwa Steez AGS rods in place of nrx. NRX is a great rod but QC is not there for it. Still fish a lot of Loomis rods and enjoy them though.
  23. I know my Loomis rods are made in the US....just look at the misaligned guides, epoxy issues, and crooked blank
  24. Do what I did. Tell yourself its time to start jig fishing this year and then go buy the 7' glass and throw cranks! Way more fun
