I would also use a 6 gear ratio reel. I use to use a 5 but now I use a 6. I think the mediums will be fine on the 6 as well, although that might just be the excuse you need to get two setups instead of one

I have heard lots of good things about Academy's in house baits. I would like to try a few. It seems like Academy sports is starting to expand farther north and there may be some here in Central Indy soon, that would be nice.

That is a nice truck! I really like the predator steps, had some on the FJ. Not a fan of the rims though. F150's are not cheap these days. Seems like only a few years ago you could get a stripped down truck for less than 20k. Now you can't find a new one under 30.
