  1. Classic Swiss Made. Not Cheap, but also high quality.
  2. I have a local creek quite similar to this. I mostly throw wacky rigged stick baits of any variety. Mostly in browns and greens. I like smaller plastics a lot in this type of situation, and a good scent always gives me a little more confidence with these presentations.
  3. That's actually pretty cool! Do you happen to be an engineer or scientist?
  4. Braid and leader my friend. Braid and leader.
  5. I just thought it was a cool topic. I enjoy Physics/Calculus and am kinda a gear head.
  6. To much time and money lol!
  7. I was having some fun in my Physics class thinking about different ways physics applies to fishing. Obviously there are nearly infinite applications of physics to fishing. Parabolic motion, free fall, work and energy. They all apply to fishing! Anyone here ever thought about physics and it's fishing applications?
  8. My dad had a '74 Hatchback. He didn't like it very much at all. Always talks about how much of a piece of junk it was. On the other hand his brother had a 68 fastback and '71 Mach 1. Much nicer than the '74. My dad missed the muscle car craze by about 5 years.
  9. Where did you get this from lol
  10. Thanks! Its not mine, but I wish it was! I believe its a '69 Fast Back
  11. That can really be different for everyone. I would say start out with something straightforward like a Spinnerbait or lipless bait, and then learn the subtleties of that presentation presentation as you begin to get more familiar with it and then move on to another presentation learning the nuances of each one.
  12. Yeah they are pretty thick up in the reeds on the bank. When the sun for down, they come out!
  13. Read some of the first few threads in this section of the forum. That will give you a good start
  14. I think the biggest thing is to spend the most time on the water as possible. The guy in the stand or with the rod in his hand the most will be the best outdoorsman. So that will be it for me, is spending more time in the outdoors with friends and family. After all, that's what is really important.
  15. Hello fellow Hoosier! Plenty of us from around the state on these forums. Hope you continue to enjoy Bassin!
  16. I've found that I like the Bass Pro Shops Extreme 6'6" Medium Heavy for Squarebills. I also prefer a 6.4:1 reel, a Lew's Tournament Pro, which is very light and can truly let a small squarebill fly.
  17. Oh, I see... I thought he was an LEO from 2002-2007. I'm an awful reader lol. Thanks to you as well.
  18. What are you doing now, just curious! Also, thank you for your years of public service.
  19. Really sad to hear. I hope the murder serves every minute of his sentence. Make sure to be situationaly aware at all times. I once heard that prayer is the best way to meet the lord, but trespassing is faster.
  20. I think its just a legal thing. Minors cam be pretty tricky. Plus, parents probably don't know what to think of some stranger sending there kid stuff.
  21. Them they will go by in a blink. My highschool and early years in general have for sure have flown by.
  22. I got one for $135 at a local shop back in October. Almost too smooth!
  23. Xcalibur XCS (All 3 Sizes) KVD (2.5 Mostly) XPS (All Sizes) Arishi STX
  24. Same thing here. I use War Eagles and they are R bends. Not a big deal, I use an improved clinch knot (I fish Spinnerbaits on mono). Easy to tie and quick.
