  1. Here is what I would do. 6.4 Revo SX w/6'6" Medium Veritas 2.0: Jerkbaits and Topwater Revo Winch and Veritas Winch: Crankbaits ProMax and Vengeance: Contact Baits. Silver Max and PMax: Spinnerbaits I might swap the last two around based on preferences.
  2. Tom, what is it you like so much about Pork Trailers? Is there something that distinguishes them from plastic and makes them better, or is it something you just got accustomed to and stuck with? Just curious.
  3. I don't know if it works this way with boats, but usually, when my father has bought cars from private owners, he pays $50 to have the car get a diagnostic by the Toyota dealership which gives the car a rundown to make sure there is nothing we couldn't see on our owns. Pretty low cost and definitely worth it to save you from a complete money pit.
  4. I think my Lew's will last longer than new American cars just FYI
  5. I'd rather do a Jon Boat conversion. I plan on doing one with my dad after he retires here in a few years.
  6. $1.80 around here.

  8. Looks to me like domestic oil has gotten a little lean and mean and is starting to go blow for blow with foreign oil and guys like the Saudis are stuck because they don't want to raise prices because that would help out countries like Iran that the Saudis don't like. So this might not be an awful thing after all.
  9. I've had the exact opposite. I needed parts for two Shimano's and could not find them at all. I needed parts for an very old Daiwa ProCaster and Daiwa promptly had the parts shipped to my door. Just my experience though.
  10. I also use this interchangeable box system. I keep all of my Spinnerbaits in a BPS Xtreme Worm Binder. I really like the different Okeechobee Fats bags for carrying. They come in all different sizes and are of good quality and are excellently priced.
  11. Don't they release a stress pheromone that can be smelled bt other fish?
  12. I want a nice fishing jacket and a new spinning reel this year. I also indicated to my father that the Rico Blems on sale at TW would make a great stocking stuffer.
  13. Thread hack but what kinda line are you fishing these on?
  14. I cold never seem to really get behind the Bladed Jig Craze. I never really did so well on them. I may just need to give myself a day or two this next year to fish just a Bladed Jig and experiment with it, fishing it on different setups and with different trailers, skirt and no skirt, different cadences, ect.
  15. I usually do too, but I really do enjoy physics
  16. I just find physics so fascinating because it is the reality we all live in. Most never thinks about how physics effects everything we do, but I see it all around me, especially after sitting in a class by the physics wizard Mr. Haiducu.
  17. Yeah, I read up in the other physics thread I found what you said about that. Looked it up and found some stuff on it here: http://www.ohio.edu/people/williar4/html/HapEd/NASA/SimpMach/Lever.htm Judging on that description, then yeah a rod would be a third class lever with a fulcrum in the handle, the effort in the backbone, and the load on the upper/tip section.
  18. Water and Air both effect what is now known in Physics as the Idea of Free fall. In Free Fall, an object does not encounter any other force besides the force of gravity. In the free fall equation, mass cancels out and two objects will fall at the same rate. But because a jig is falling through the water, it is not in free fall. Something close to free fall can be observed with two rocks in the air because the force of friction upon those rocks is infinitesimally small.
  19. They only fall at the same speed when their is no friction or resistance. Thusly if you put a feather and a rock into a vacuum tube they would fall at the same rate.
  20. I'm starting to find that kind of stuff more fascinating now than ever. I plan on majoring in mechanical or civil engineering in a year.
