  1. The FS12T comes with a fairly nice seat standard. I'm planning on buying one. $549.
  2. As long as you carefully tie that knot I've never had a clinch break on me with 12# Trilene. May have to up your poundage in heavy cover with big fish.
  3. Ok, so hypothetically, 6' tall, 12' SOT Yak w/elevated seat... Any specific recommendations?
  4. What mods did you make to the Ascend? (Sealing, attatchments, ect.)
  5. Isn't Big Game one of the lower stretch nylon lines on the market? I know Trilene XT is fairly low stretch.
  6. The Okeechobee Fats bag I recommended is the exact same bag and is 40 bones MSRP (not on sale) at Meijer on Dan Jones Road in Plainfield. It does not come with boxes inside, but the bag from Gander Mountain does, but they are Chinese Cheapo's, not even close in quality to Flambue or Plano boxes. Just an FYI.
  7. That is something I have seen in my observation of well. Usually fish stay pretty tucked into some type of cover/ambush point where bait and such will come to them.
  8. Look cool, but don't know if they will be put to use by me. Do they make something in a shad image?
  9. Nice video. Looks like you had a decent day. I notice your dog also came along for the ride as well!
  10. Just bought that exact color/size KVD SB the other day when DSG had them for 4 bones a pop. Hope I can mimic your success, minus the plunge into the drink of course.
  11. That sounds delicious.......
  12. What line is it? Some lines are notorious among anglers for bad knot strength. Braid also can have knots slip if not tied correctly. What knot are you using? Are you always lubricating your knot?
  13. But then it would have seen more clearly and stayed away from your lure!
  14. So in the example above, this would mean to harvest all bass under 16"? Sounds logical, just trying to clarify.
  15. Did you take that fish? What else are you catching in this lake? As for me, if we all had to keep our limit, every time we fish, I would stop fishing. I don't like to eat fish. I fish for fun, not for food. But I wouldn't take out a bass unless I planned on eating it. Maybe one day I'll develop a taste for smaller fish fillets, and maybe one day I'll develop a taste for game and start hunting, but today is not that day.
  16. Do you have a preference tube? Brand/size/color?
  17. Where one current meets another and creates a current break.
  18. Look for deeper holes/slack water. Fish will also concentrate around eddies. Jiggin a fluke in the deeper holes can be killer. But definitely look for those fish holding areas.
  19. Ok, that's probably what I'll do, just never used a leader in the salt.
  20. Buy Berkley 100% Pro Grade. Much better product. Vanish is about the only Berkley product I've heard bad things about. I love Berkley products.
  21. Not unless I'm fishing saltwater. Never in fresh water. I don't fish C rigs and I definitely don't fish snaps. If you were walking the bank with only 1 setup, then maybe as a time/line saver. But not worth it to me, I don't change lures often.
  22. Its interesting. I wont buy one at full MSRP, that's for sure.
  23. Okeechobee Fat's makes a good bag. Can be found at Meijer for 40 bones. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabelas-Fishing-Utility-Bag/1282004.uts?No=0&destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Ftackle-bags%2F_%2FN-1100378%2FNo-0%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104619780%3FrecordsPerPage%3D18 This one is 10 bucks, but no free shipping
  24. Still don't think fishing is really paying their bills. Their expenses are paid for by sponsors, so sponsor promotion, talks, and appearances pay the bills.
