  1. Not sure how they compare but I will never buy a rod with a white blank.... ewww.
  2. So, how would you work that? Like a weedless spoon? What kinda gear do you plan on fishing it on?
  3. Looks like I might look into this. I catch a lot of fish on lipless and squarebill crankbaits, and the action of this thing would probably be just killer, depending on how it comes through the coontail and hydrilla in my area.
  4. Is that a BPS Extreme rod? I love mine for squarebills.
  5. In tournaments my strategy would be something that can cover water. A fluke would definitely be a part of this, in some different situations especially so. I don't think I'd start with a shaky head, depending on where I am fishing, but if I can't get a limit in the boat after covering water, I would probably go to a shaky head and try and scrape out a limit at the end of the day.
  6. This is a neat idea. I really like making my own foods because I really get to control what is in it. I really like beef jerky, and it is much better for you than many other snacks, but many brands are chocked full of preservatives. Make your own, no preservatives!
  7. Question being... Are you new to bass fishing altogether? Do you already have some gear? If so, what do you have? How do you like to fish? All of these play into it as well as budget.
  8. Welp... There's all my insecurities summed up in one post
  9. Kinda like a big, pegged weight. I figure some of the bigger fish around here would eat it up though
  10. Pictures of cereal are generally done with glue rather than milk so it looks "more white"
  11. Lew's for 99 bones. This is going to make some people mad around these parts, but if you pay MSRP just buy anything that's not a Pro Qualifier.
  12. How much are longer arms? Where can I purchase?
  13. Glenn I love seeing your stuff from ICast. While it may not have been the first coverage up, you got coverage of some of the most exciting products, especially some of the new stuff by Savage Gear, Lew's and Power Pole. You also ask the important questions, ones that we usually don't get answers to in other videos. Hats off to you.
  14. Rapala weedless shad?
  15. Interesting. I love my Booyah Pad Crasher and Poppin Pad Crashers a lot, especially for the price. All I do is trim the legs. Never really though to branch out. Good observation on the Topwaters, I'll make a mental not if that for when I get one.
  16. Anybody here get there biggest fish on an SK 8.0? What gear do you guys fish that on?
  17. Buy them. I hate Walmart, and don't mind sticking it too them. The manufacturer already got their money. I find stuff in the bargain bin regularly that ain't supposed to be there, and I know the Wally World employees don't care, so neither do I.
  18. The Kreit Tail Worms have a MUCH larger profile than even a 10" power worm. Lay them out side by side and you will know what I'm talking about. Also, well priced, and good scent.
  19. Most guys here said they haven't had much action on there Howeller baits. Not sure on how much you want to spend, bit I would probably buy one of the Arashi Deeps. I really like the squarebills, and would think the Deep models would be similar.
  20. Welcome fellow Hoosier!
  21. Weather forecast looks clear the next few days... Hopefully the water will regulate and I can actually put some did on the bank.
  22. What do I throw? I throw my rod... In the water. Take hit to my pride, get butt hurt, and go home and cry for 3 days over the fact that an animal with a pea sized brain outsmarted me.
  23. I'll probably buy one for my yak. I need the boat control in skinny water, so I'll pick one up.
  24. I rarely go in there, for tackle anyways. I may go in there to get a few things here or there, but never tackle. DSG around here is 10x better this year then in years past, so I go in there when I take a lunch and pick up whatever on sale, usually something is... I'll buy something that I NEED to have that day I buy at Gander Mountain. My big tackle purchases, and any rods, reels, or line, are bought at local shops... Honey Creek Tackle, The Outdoorsman, or Mooresville Tackle Service Center. I also make a trip to BPS every 8 months or so, and buy online from then when they have free shipping no minimum. Really just no reason to go into Walmart. I feel bad for the dude who has to shop at Wally World because its the only place in 50 miles.... That sucks
