  1. Nice write up. Lot's of things here I use when I'm out fishing.
  2. Nice, I can't imagine being such a die hard fan to go sit out in the wind, snow, sleet, rain, or bad weather from a football game. It did look like the weather was pretty fair. I turned it on mid-game, and thought they were in San Diego!
  3. Great write up. My father and I take lots of pictures of fish to post online and show to our friends. It seems that the best fish we catch always get the worst pictures. I will keep this in mind the next time one of us catches a hawg!
  4. :laugh5: :laugh5: :laugh5: :laugh5: :laugh5: So True!!!!
  5. You aren't going to the Packers' game are you?
  6. Well, when it comes to fishing from shore, more often than not, you end up casting parallel to the shore line. You do this from a boat as well, but much left often, because you may follow the fish around offshore structure, which simply often can't be targeted from the bank. Also, you often can't move around a lot from the bank. You can go around and hit different spots but you can't run and gun like you can in a boat. Those are the differences that are apparent to me. But yes, there are some similarities.
  7. I just about always lip fish. You can boat flip all types of fish, just make sure to never grab the line. You need the give in the rod so it doesn't tear out of their flesh.
  8. Don't really see the point in this. Then it is no longer your fish, skin or replica, but someone else's fish. Get a replica of your fish, I'm sure you will enjoy it. For me it would have to be about an 8lb largemouth or a 6 lb smallmouth to go on the wall.
  9. Depends on how much you like fishing
  10. Cool, I may have to hit him up over the winter for some baits. Thanks.
  11. Sorry kiddies, daddy wanted a new Lucky Craft, so no dinner tonight!
  12. Welcome to BR! Great to see another fellow Hoosier. I'm from the central part of the state.
  13. DSG stores are based on the individual store. Each store makes its buying decisions, and then some stores are "dumping grounds" where overstock inventory goes, like one in town here. The other one hs a better, but not great selection.
  14. Looks like you just learned the hard way. I've learned the hard way too. Maybe not just fishing, but with everything I believe this lesson applies. "Don't tell anyone anything you wouldn't be ok with everyone knowing."
  15. I hope this gentleman is up to date on his tetanus shots!
  16. I now cannot sit straight. That is all.
  17. Well C&R is certainly better than throwing em on the bank for fertilizer. That sounds like more harm to ms.
  18. Same here. A little more organization and trying to get out more than I do now are my main focuses to help me reach that.
  19. Depends on a number of conditions. I go fishing whenever I have the time, because that tine is scarce these days, and may not always be optimal. I dint have a specific time of day, but optimally I'm fishing in slightly overcast conditions with some wind and maybe rain, ideally not fishing with a bright shining sun. But like I said, I fish whenever I can.
  20. Lets be real now.... I'm from Indy and we suck. We thought buying a back would solve our running game... Oh wait we need an O-Line too? Who would've thought?!?!
  21. I also do not shop at Walmart. I will no longer step foot in one if given the option to go somewhere else. As for BPS, the house brand stuff is one of the main reasons I go there. I have two BPS rods, and plan on buying a third. I also like the baits, good colors and decent quality at a good price. I own several. Also, each BPS will vary from location to location. The BPS in Destin, FL carries much more saltwater fishing equipment, while the BPS in Clarksville, IN carries lots of Bass and Deer equipment, because that's what people do around here, so that's what sells. I love the Clarksville location, its one of the biggest I've been to. For reference I've been too locations in Pigeon Forge, Destin, Lawrenceville, Cincinnati, Clarksville, and Myrtle Beach. I plan on visiting the Portage location next spring.
  22. I've used BB Cane Sticks, never the Trick Stick. Gander Mt makes some w/O-rings already inserted too I think that are the same as the Trick Stick. Do you guys find that O-rings affect the action or fall rate, or even the hookup rate?
  23. Lmao! Didn't Kinami go under?
