  1. Too bad they took them out! That's good fish holding cover eight there!
  2. I've had some close encounters with him. Never bought a vintage guitar though.. But maybe one day.... As for me, the Swimsuit Monkey has a hold on me. These Tech Fast Suits are getting expensive!
  3. Fish seem to have a lot more leverage when they get foul hooked.
  4. I got a few recommendations for the Aetos when I was looking for a rod. What is the tope end of your budget? I'd also recommend you skim through this thread here: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/159447-jigplastic-rod/page-1
  5. I would say that this is pretty spot on. I do like to fish moving baits though. I have trouble putting confidence in a Carolina Rig. I know that they catch fish, but it's more I just don't have confidence in my ability to fish a Carolina Rig effectively and catch bass on it.
  6. Ok, I figured. We will ssee if I can get my hands on some come February
  7. The Truck Monkey is having us get the FJ Boards Line-Xed.... The Magazine Monkey. I get all kinds of Magazines about everything under the sun. The Lunch Monkey. I've been eating out quite a bit now that I've got a car and some extra dollars.
  8. Yeah, my dad likes a lot of his round reels too. Don't they make some 100 size round reels in different ratios? I'm just not as familiar with them as some are.
  9. How does that 100 size Calcutta palm?
  10. I definitely will. I was just surprised because they both advertise the ShokFlex technology, so I was assuming they are almost identical except for the guides/cork. For general cranking a Medium Moderate is what I want I would think. Also, what is your guys prefered cranking line? I've always just used Trilene XL....
  11. So, I've been looking on the BPS Website, and thinking about purchasing one if they are marked down at the Spring Classic next year. I was looking at the Micro Model and they are all Moderate Action rods, but the Original line are all Fast Action. I would think I would want the Moderate but don't want to pay an extra $40 to get it, and don't really think I want Micro Guides, especially at $40 higher. I would be interested in getting a 7 footer for all of my Crankbait fishing outside of Squarebills. Basically medium divers for the most part, some Wiggle Warts, and occasionally a Deep Rattling Flat Wart. Would I be best off with a Moderate Action, or a Fast Action? I would be thinking a Medium Power would be my best bet too right? Side note, is the Spring Classic supposed to be in February? I want to get this rod a little before ice-out hopefully! Thanks, Hoosier
  12. Haha, I do like burgers and burritos!
  13. Love my Lew's. Can't speak to the others, but the Lew's would be the one I would buy. PQ gets tons of positive reviews around here though.
  14. Couldn't find the magazine, but did find it online. It has a review of it along with several other lures. http://www.fieldandstream.com/articles/fishing/bass-fishing/2014/02/bass-bait-test-2014-we-rank-10-brand-new-bass-lures
  15. I believe I read something about this in F&S, let me look if I can find it and I'll let you know what they thought if I find it.
  16. Nice video, those are some studs!
  17. That's good info right there! But I like to eat crawfish too!
  18. Wow, you really don't like them lol
  19. You do realize he said squarebill right? Looks like you're talking about standard crankbaits. Little bit different situation IMO
  20. Idk what it is but it sure is ugly
  21. A lot of those surf fishing guys go out and just spend a bunch of time looking around at different water levels based on tides and conditions, and they try to pinpoint where stuff is. They are pretty serious, and those are the guys fishing the 10%. As for me, I just take my cart out to the beach and start fishing, usually just casting out some shrimp, because I'm just trying to have a good time, not getting super serious about it when it comes to surf fishing. I'm probably fishing the 90%
  22. The Seven Gill was a little weird. Mako's are cool, so the different guys getting speed readings with different methods was cool. I still love Air Jaws though! I like Discovery channel a lot, Street Outlaws is an awesome show. That has to be an expensive hobby trying to outfit those cars.
  23. I may try the neighborhood pool. Although I'd measure it myself, seems most pools "measurements" aren't exact.
