  1. Do you have to do anything special to go through the scupper?
  2. Awesome, thanks! Seems like it will add next to nothing weight wise, so will definitely be an addition that I get when I get my yak
  3. Sorry to ask another question, bit this should be my last one... How is it powered?
  4. Online the Tourney Trails are 35 bones. If you could get it with free shipping somehow, then I'd buy that one in a snap.
  5. I've only had one fish ever die on me, fishing a 1.5 squarebill. I'm fixing to go barbless because of it, as well as a hook injury my father sustained. I was pretty ticked it died, so ill definitely be going barbless.
  6. All caught on the 2.5 rattling squarebill from the bank
  7. I guess my process is, the pros on MLF, even though every 12 inch + bass counts, still fish like pros, if ya know what I mean. On the last few I've watched it was more about location than anything, because everybody seemed to be fishing similar deals, but one area would hold fish, and another one wouldn't. The guys who realized that differentiated a "fishy looking" spot, to a true fish holding spot based on clues they received, were the guys that caught em, the other guys didn't
  8. Well apparently people had the right idea a decade ago!
  9. No idea... Can you upload to the thread?
  10. How much weight do the lights/batteries add to your package? I feel like everything you add to your yak adds weight weight weight man
  11. I've been catching em good on 2.5 Squarebills lately. They've been killing it! They just slam that thing and almost tear the rod out of your hand! Spinnerbaits are good too. All shad colored stuff. Can't wait to get out and try my rage blade this weekend.
  12. Ok, thanks for the info! Good read. My only problem with the Carbomax is a 7' can be kinda a hassle from tight spots on the bank, figured this would make a good replacement until I get into a Yak here soon I really liked the feel of it. Plan on using it for liplless cranks or squarebill cranks.
  13. Haven't tried out the rage blade, but my best purchases this year have been a used BPS Extreme for 40 bones and 2.5 size Squarebills. I had about 15 1.5's, and they caught fish, even my PB which is in my avatar, but those 2.5s really get awesome reaction strikes from big bass. They jar that thing and almost rip the rod out of my hand! Its so much fun feeling them whack it, and I've only caught one bass under 2 lbs on it. Most of them have been 4+
  14. I will say I find the Veritas I owned overpowered. That's why I sold it.
  15. That's a funny joke right there. Better watch out for suspicious black Suburbans while fishing!
  16. If something like this ever happens again find a reputable tech in your are. They are very helpful to have around.
  17. Here are some pics of the Galyan's (Graphite IM8 Performance Series) and the Shimano Carbomax side by side. I just find it funny they are so similar (why I bought it). It looks like they could be the same rod with a different butt cap and a 6 inch length difference.
  18. Another tip is to go in to a local tackle shop, or a BPS, and just go feel up rods. Bring your reel if you can, or if you plan to buy one as well, see if they will let you feel the pair. You want to make sure you like the way it feels to you.
  19. Cool thanks! Also, that definitely sounds like a steal at 110 bones !
  20. I'll post pics of them both tommorow. Just curious
  21. Just bought a Galyan's 6'6" Medium Heavy (feels like a medium)rod at Tackle Service center here in Indy. I took a look at the reel seat, and it looks about the same as a Shimano Carbomax I own. Does anybody know who made the Galyan's rods?
  22. Like Xcalibur the mist but they're a little more change. Next choice has to be BPS XPS for $4.29
  23. Welp... Never knew that! Problem solved.
  24. Or you could always get a Duckett reel to match your rod
