  1. What are you throwing it on? There are days I only throw cranks and I don't have a problem. Jerkbaits are another story.. That's when I start to feel like Popeye!
  2. I still think the profit margin has to be higher for fluorocarbon lines. They can't be that expensive to make. Like honestly?
  3. What in the world is your mono of choice?!? I can buy bulk spools of my mono of choice cheaper than I can buy a 200 yard spool of quality fluorocarbon.
  4. A tournament is not the time to experiment my friend
  5. I'm gonna say I'm in agreement with this. I usually don't use contact baits though because I have trouble keeping contact in the wind. I love fishing with a little bit of wind from the bank.
  6. No problem. Good luck in your search! If you ever want a good read on ponds look up the thread titled "The $25,000 Question"
  7. Let me know what you think of the Gander Mt line. At that price as well as BOGO 50% online I'm interested to see what you have to think.
  8. Yeah I actually know a pro golfer named Patrick Rodgers he graduated from my high school a few years back. Its crazy how much you have to work to get to the top... It does make it a grind and less enjoyable. But I still think I'd like to do "weekend activities" for a living... I'd kinda be interested in outdoor journalism, but these days that's pretty competitive as well!
  9. Then what is one to do when trying to make Fluorocarbon fit the program but the can't afford Shooter or Tatsu?
  10. Yeah I figured asking was part of being a responsible outdoorsman. I guess not... Common sense things like that give our sports a bad name.
  11. Beetle Spin.
  12. Yep, this. Just be a responsible outdoorsman (as we always should be in order to keep our great sports going) and you shouldn't have any problem. The worst they can say is no
  13. Thermacell works for me. Little expensive but its quite convenient
  14. The Aird also has a $10 rebate and the exceller has one that is $15 if you buy it new.
  15. I'd buy something that's been lightly used or on sale. Bam

  17. I'm interested to see what it says. I don't think the general fishing population gives a hoot about what pro uses what, but I think that the guys who are coming up on the college and Opens circuits do... And they are the biggest share of the market because even though they are the smaller portion of the population they spend the most... And then you also have the fact that you incur expenses through gas... Maybe a truck if your sponsor doesn't pay for one... Then you've got any out of pocket baits, food.. It all adds up. After all the expenses the actual profit margin is slim
  18. I don't know... I feel like the Carolinas offer maybe a little bit more overall. They do have all 4 seasons as seen in the Classic lol! And honestly I really like the ambience of a little fall/winter hunting. But I also agree with the guy that said everywhere has something to offer! Sheesh, better start saving now, I may end up having to travel all over the US!
  19. If that's what we are talking about, I'd like to refer you here: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/148744-crankbaits-can-you-fully-effective-with-only-one-brand/?fromsearch=1
  20. Also, wanted to add... This is taking into account the availability of said activities, state laws restricting or increasing access (including land provisions, gun laws, and budgets). Just to make it more interesting
  21. IYO. What is the best state for outdoor activities? (Fishing, fresh and salt, camping, hunting, ECT.) I know its not Indiana, even though we do have a few things going for us..
  22. Also from Indiana, but more central part of the state. Welcome!
  23. The a ending to the n word became more widely accepted... Unless used by old white ladies who make fried chicken on tv
  24. I'm in the same boat and would also like to hear what others say
