  1. It may have more selection of outdoor stuff... The outdoor (camping, hunting, fishing) selection at my local DSG is terrible. I will check now that it is spring, but I'm not going in with high expectations.
  2. Those are nice! Is that an old MagLite?
  3. I just don't think that's true. I catch my biggest fish in a strictly Catch and Release water...
  4. If you want to leave it in a place for a long time, then go with the Popr l, but a buz would be good around wood I would think
  5. 6 more weeks of winter... Meaning 6 more weeks of buying, shopping, and buying some more... I just got paid, and I've already got my check earmarked for new gear... Sigh...
  6. Another option to try would be the Storm swimbaits. They sell em really cheap at Gander Mt near me.. I thought about getting one as a gag gift lol!
  7. Exactly. Theee is no reason to put the game on the line, when your workhorse running back has proven all night that he could run through a tank.
  8. Yeah, they have a few of them sitting in my local tackle shop for like 25 bones.
  9. I do like the War Eagles. The Mike McClelland Finesse Spinnerbait with the leading Oklahoma and trailing Colorado is my favorite spinnerbait.
  10. I think shad can be plenty predictable. Temperature will bring she to certain places, as do the time of year... Like how rocks hold heat in winter, so shad will congregate.. In the fall they often move back into a creek. Maybe not as predictable as bluegill, but definitely predictable..
  11. I've heard both sides of that case... Not really sure.
  12. Same here. Good deals on some lures and line I need to pick up.
  13. The Oklahoma blade bait is one of my personal favorites. Good baits... Although they can be a little pricey...
  14. Berkley rods are really solid for tue price. I would not hesitate to buy another Shock. I bought one used for 25 bones, which is a steal. They're Lightning IM6 and Cherrywood are pretty good little bass rods as well.
  15. I thought the Hawks would win like the Giants with the helmet catch.. I guess the Patriots aren't that unlucky.
  16. How much do those run?
  17. Stained water calls for a big thumper Colorado blade bait! Black/blue w/black blade is a good option. I like the Hart Double Wire bait as wellm
  18. I like Bomber Fat Free Shads, and a few other cranks, but they're not my favorite. I really like the BPS or Xcalibur stuff a little more...
  19. Speed can be an important factor. If you force that fish to react by whizzing that crankbait by him, rather than letting him take his sweet time to look at it, he is more likely to strike. Other times, if you take a suspending jerkbait and let it sit there for a long time, it annoys that bass and causes him to strike... So speed is more important than you think.
  20. This and only this.
  21. I really don't find anything wrong with fishing live bait. As long as you aren't dumping your unused bait ir containers in or around the water, I'm ok. I just fish with lures mostly, because that's what I enjoy, but I know that my uncle has caught his personal best, and many other great fish on Rodman with a live shiner, and i don't find a problem with it. Honestly, I actually enjoy it as well.
