  1. That will go down as the dumbest, and most infamous calls in all of NFL history.
  2. If I remember, Silstar used to make Pinnacles, and the old BPS Bassmaster reels, correct?
  3. I stated earlier, University of North Florida is a good place to fish, if they will allow you to fish there.
  4. If you are pausing your Jerkbait for an extended period of time, the feather will flare and entice fish to strike.. So I say, why not!?!?
  5. This is really a question of personal preference. Some people like to trim their weedgaurds, others like no weedguards. What I will tip you off to is to try the M-Pack Lures jigs and spoons with their patented weedgaurd. Its an interesting concept. http://mpacklures.com/
  6. They make Big Lexa 400's with regular handles as well... I bet you could call Daiwa and get one for yours... Assuming they fit interchangeably.
  7. Plenty of shad here! I guess I'm getting it good living in Indiana :respect-059: lol

Have you ever fished with GPS/Electronics?
  9. If there is a shallow creek near you, a wading trip would do you well. They are convenient to fish when close, as I have one right next to my house, and am able to walk off the couch, put some sandals on and fish. Also, it doesn't freeze over, and so I can fish it right now as I watch the snow fall outside my window, which is why I'm looking at a pair of good waders, as I'd prefer not to lose a leg..... I digress... I usually fish with Medium Spinning Gear with 8# CoPoly or Medium Casting Rods paired w/7:1 Reels, and 12# line, and smallies can give a scrappy fight on either. Fighting smallmouth on my spinning gear is my favorite thing to do on a summer evening, and it's even better with a few buddies. If you have a creek near you, it is worth trying. Also, it's worth noting that you my need to downsize... I'm not sure how you generally fish, but many creek smallies are tight lipped, but you can usually get them to succumb to finesse jigs, stick worms, and the likes.....
  10. Pitching and Flippin', Jigs, Texas and Carolina Rig Plastics, Weightless Rigged Plastics, and other techniques like that. I prefer a 6.X:1 reel for my Jerkbait fishing, but I've heard that KVD uses a 7.X:1 reel for his Jerkbait fishing. I think it would work fine, as Jerkbaits are mostly being worked with the rod, and the reel is just used to pick up slack line.
  11. That's a deal! Do you have pics of these?
  12. I would say you want less noise in clearer conditions, but I'm not really sure... I don't really have a whole lot of experience fishing buzzbaits in clear water during the day.. I'm sure someone knows! If they could tip me off, they may have to become a clear water option for me as well! Also, for color all around, I would say you couldn't go wrong with white, black, and white/chartreuse.

  14. What is stitching? I've never heard of it so I can't help you there....
  15. Baby Rage Craw, Small Size Craw Papis, Netbait Tiny Paca... Numerous options. They can make great finesse casting jig trailers, I really like to fish the smallest size Papis on the back of a Bitsy Bug in creeks during the summer.
  16. It's a terrible circumstance.... but when somebody's old lady kicks em out, you sure can get some great deals!

You'd probably have to regulate them (I said this in my earlier post).... Looking for bait with a drone is also a briliant idea....

I think it's kind of interesting. I like the idea of seeing a location before you get there. I mea, obviously it could still be a bust, but I think it would be a good idea to see a few areas, and have a few different spots as a backup plan if you can't seem to find fish in your current area... I think they would have to have some additions to the rulebooks for drones though... But I think they could be very useful. I don't really think this is true... I mean, fish just aren't going to flop into your boat... The drone is going to pick up a fish and drop it in your livewell. I mean, if a drone is too much, what about the thousand's of dollars of electronics for boats you guys buy... I would relate them to being very similar, sometimes even serving similar purposes. As an angler you still have to able to make choices out on the water, and make the correct presentation, the right way, at the right time, in the right location. A drone simply servest the purpose of helping you with the last thing on that list, finding a good location. I think that arguements like this take anything innnovative, new and exciting out of fishing. It's like everyone whining about the A Rig... Anytime anything new comes along, it seems that people just want to shoot it down... Not the way I think our sport should operate if it expects to grow...

  20. This is similar to what Seahawk's defensive back Richard Sherman said: "As long as Goodell and Kraft are taking pictures at each others' houses, then the rules won't be enforced." The fact is, this is a matter of integrity of the game. The league will suspends Marshawn Lynch from the Super Bowl, the biggest game of the year, for wearing golden cleats, but won't adress cheating in a play off game... Hmmmm
  21. I actually thought about it myself... I know at Dick's you'd have to be 18.... Maybe if I could get hired I could clean up their outdoors section, and maybe it wouldn't be such a bust every time I went!
  22. The Ragestuff works good when fish want more action, but in a more subtle presentation, something like aYum Craw Papi excels. Ive also bought some Big Bite Baits Real Deal HD Craws and they look awesome.
  23. I own one of the Lightning Shocks as a flipping stick and its very solid for the money. I managed to get it used for 25 bones, so it was a good deal all around! If you are looking to get into one rod, another Berkley rod I've heard a lot about, and would like to try for myself is the EMotion Performance series. For $80 I here they are a hell of a rod. The 7' Medium Heavy would be a good plastic rod, or the 6'9" Medium for Crankbaits.
  24. Those are some killer fish dude! I can't wait to get back out to Florida!
  25. Not that I don't like Shimano... I've owned some good Shimano reels.. I still fish an old Corsair that I like. My thing is that all of my combos are 'beater' combos so to speak. I'm strapped for cash and want something that offers value for the money, and is feature filled. I'm sure if I had some more money, I'd be willing to give there reels a try. I may have to see if I can pick up a Curado I or a Chronarch if they ever run them on closeout and that may change my mind.
