  1. When it comes to finesse, its really about downsizing and adding realism to a presentation to get more bites when they at tough to come by. Here is a great in depth look at it: http://www.bassmaster.com/columns/master-series-on-finesse-fishing
  2. Berkley and Big Bite Baits are my personal favorites. Lots of choices and good value.
  3. I just buy stuff from Big Bite Baits.... It's really good stuff and a great value. I've donne head to head comparisons with your GYCB stuff... They look, feel, and have identical action. And I can buy the BBB stuff for very cheap. It helps when you go through a lot of plastic, and you don't make but a couple hundred bucks a month.
  4. Yes, in essence, it is more 'true' to how fast your lure is moving or how much slack you are picking up compared to gear ratio... Many spinning reels will be lower than casting reels, but the IPT will be the same, or even more.
  5. Rubbing alcohol on a white rag... It'll show you just how dirty cork handles can be.... Even new ones. Cork dust is nasty.
  6. Yep, No problem! Sorry it's not the holy grail...

  9. This or XL.. I generally use 12# though. I'm think about using 8# fluoro for finesse cranking applications. I've heard good things about InvizX and XL 100% Fluoro for spinning reels, so I'm gonna try one of those.
  10. I fish a chatterbait mainly around grass on a big heavy flippin setup. Other than that I'll stick with a Spinnerbait. I like to bang a spinnerbait up against stuff a lot.
  11. Inches Per Turn. It is the amount of line, in inches, taken up by one turn of the handle. It corresponds with, gear ratio, but will vary based on spools... Because a fuller spool will take up more line than an empty spool... But for example.. My Speed Spool in a 6.8:1 Ratio has 28" IPT.. Meaning that with every crank of the handle, the spool spins 6.8 times, taking up 28 inches of line
  12. It's called 'work' gor a reason. And no matter what it is, whatever your doing, they will always find a way to turn it into 'work'.
  13. I would also go w/8# XL. XT and Big Game are to stiff for my liking, even on casting reels. I like XL or Stren Origianl 12# for all of my casting applications.
  14. Is the handling of 8# InvizX good on your spinning reel?
  15. My DirecTV allows instant access to YouTube straight through them, no internet needed. Its just like I'm watching a recorded program on the TV.
  16. Wow... That's crazy. I may have not been a fan of the lures made under his name, but he sure brought much too this sport. May he be fishing in the big pond now.
  17. Berkely and Xcalibur. I really like the quality of Xcalibur for the price, and Berkley just flat out catches fish.
  18. So pretty much what every Elite Series pro does every tourney...
  19. Started fishing @6 w/my dad! Old Zebco rod and reel and a johnson beetle spin!
  20. That's really neat! Is there a place around you that can replace guide inserts for your rod?
  21. I know that Ike went on a trip in late December to some Pre Fishing. That's about all I know.
  22. Are you currently in the aluminum set up in your avatar photo? What is that set up?
  23. I guess I'd been mistaken! Thanks for clearing it up!
