I guess it depends on how specific you want to get on this. A 5” senko in green pumpkin and stick baits are very different ranges of lures. Colors, brands and sizes all make a difference. That being said im not sure I threw 10 different lures last year. I might have the saddest tackle collection on BR. Ned rig pumpkin tube pumpkin blade bait (both silver and gold) popper Stick bait jerk bait 2 different colors Mepps soft swim bait this probably covers 99% of all the fishing do.

Same here. Got out yesterday and it was a big old skunk for us.

We tried to fish the river yesterday. Current was strong and water way up. It turned into a river cruise more than fishing for sure. Trolling motor was pretty over powered trying to fight current. If this current was the normal I’d need a way bigger one (powerdrive 50 works pretty good for what I do now). Seats with the foam are really comfortable. New unexpected problem to figure out…. Boat is now a pain in the shorts to get in and out of while on the trailer with the bow mount trolling motor in the way. I might make a bigger plate to step on or try to doctor something else up.

We’ve had some heavy rains out here in Hoosier land over the last few weeks. Tons of flooding, closed roads, trees down etc. I went by the river yesterday and it’s finally coming down. I’m going to try to get out tomorrow evening or Monday. Have heavy rains helped y'all's fishing this time around?

Done or really close to done. I’m just realized looking at pictures I need to replace where those old speakers were. I’ll probably wire night lights in at some point this season too.

I fish in the river with a fair amount of current and wind. The two of those determine everything I do. I like to cruise at like 3 most of the time I think. Been a minute since last fall when I used it last.

I’ve got 2 lifepo4 batteries on the boat now. So far they’ve been great. Light weight, tons of power, easy to charge. I can’t see any reason to go back to the lead acid at this time.

Here is the boat. Still doing updates. Previous owner had indoor/outdoor carpet glued down to middle 2 seats. I’m beginning the process of removing glue residue. I will be installing Eva on all seats. I’m happy with how my trolling motor plate turned out. Stall mats are great (need sprayed down). Fish finder installed this week. Really loving this boat. I’m tempted to get some oars eventually but all in good time. Bimini is the only 100% purchase I still need to make.

Got the boat out for the first time to actually fish it the other day. I love it! very impressed with how stable the boat is. I installed stall mats so far, and they have been great. I had a trolling motor made from the welder, but he made it out of steel instead of aluminum (don't ask me why. I am still lost on that one). My dad gave me a square street sign I plan to double up and use as a trolling motor plate. I will rivet it into the gunwale of the boat and cover that with EVA foam. It should turn out great. I will mount my power drive after this. I have a garmin 73sv i need to install as well. I am divided on gluing EVA down to the benches or buying and installing seats. I can see a good argument to have each. Boat is exactly what i need. Basic fishing boat, light weight, versatile, plenty of room. I am very pleased. I had a 35 hp outboard on my Jon boat, and moved it to this boat. Its VERY fast. Like so fast I'd say overpowered. I have a 9.9/15 evinrude I have been fixing up I'm going to throw on the back of the boat. I am curious to see how well that pushes my fishing boat. It may be all a guy needs.

Stall Mats installed really nice. I've got the boat at the welding shop to get plate for the trolling motor and a few feet of tongue added to it.

Really excited to give this thing a go. Probably have get out again Monday. Bringing weight to put upfront this time.

Stall mats I was hoping would work were way too thin (at least that's my thought). How thick of stall mats would you recommend?

I ordered some stall mats and I am having the welder make a trolley motor plate for me. I also just got a new garmin fish finder. Should be pretty much set for the year!

Got boat out Monday. Some things i really liked a a few i was less than impressed with. I loved how roomy the bench seats felt. Tons of room there. I loved the deep side walls. Boat tracks beautifully. I can see it being a really nice fishing boat. I love how simple and low maintenance the boat is. Just show up to the water and fish. Same as my jon was. Things I'm going to have to figure out. Getting in and out of the boat. I had a casting deck on my last jon so we could just step in and out on that. I got my foot stuck trying to come in from the nose first time. Boat is a little tippy compared to what i thought it might be. I know this is probably mostly perception coming from a 16x54 flat bottom. I will more than likely keep boat into spring to try out a few more time. I bought a bass tracker this week as well, so I've got some options. Thanks for all the replies. I also have to get some weight up front. It was really bad the first time out trying to keep bow down.

Well I might just have to bring a rod for good measure. I don’t have a way to mount a trolley (trolling) motor yet, so I probably won’t get super ambitious

I probably just take boat out for a cruise more than fishing tomorrow. More than likely try the river or Geist. I was gonna drive by river today to see if it’s way up or not.

Is the boat pretty stable standing and fishing with the stall mats on the floor? I know won’t be tons of space but wanted to ask all the questions I can think of while I’m at it. This has been super helpful so far,

I thought about ocean south cushions or some eva flooring on top of the seats. I know a 3 gallon tank would fit in that slot much easier. How well does your 20 HP push? I've got a 15 HP 83 johnson, a 1975 Johnson 25 Hp and a 35 HP 77 Johnson. I saw the boat was rated up to 20 HP max. I was gonna try some of them out.

How comfortable is that back split bench seat? I normally would sit on the Starboard side and drive the tiller with my left hand, but on this one im thinking i might have to sit on port and drive with my right hand. Its pretty tight compared to the open jon I had before. Thank you very much for responding!

Has anyone fished out of a utility boat like this? How well did it work? I like the idea in theory, but the more i've sat in it the more skeptical I am. We fish for small mouth mostly on a river. I sold the jon boat i restored in a previous thread and bought a new boat. My new boat is a Lowe angler 1667. I got the boat for what I believe is a decent price ($2000). No motor. Just boat and trailer off a friend of mine. Prices on marketplace with motor were going around $4000 (with a motor), so I'm not worried about taking too much of a loss. I take my son 3 years old out with me often. I have a motor and bow mount trolley motor I can install on this boat.
