  1. I just moved here to Johnson city as well also. Its Tough compared to south Louisiana
  2. Yessir but I mean the view from the front and back porch is impeccable.
  3. We’re living in between jonesborough and gray. Very nice area at the place we’re renting
  4. And the Cajun has arrived to your neck of the woods
  5. I use a dobyns sierra 684 with 15 pound copolymer. No issues
  6. ? I’m from Louisiana we always cook for the neighborhood
  7. Appreciate all the advice guys. One month away from moving up there. I’m excited and bringing sausage and roux to make gumbo and jambalaya. Si when we move y’all bring yallselves on down and I’ll cook
  8. considering I’m moving to tn which homewater is it so I can avoid it ?
  9. I’ve read some decent reports and I’ve also read about the restocking program on it. And yea I’m a big boy so I’m not very kayak friendly in the first place ?
  10. we are going to be living awfully close to Boone as well which looks intriguing but I still don’t know much about it ? Also if you ever wanna link up to fish I’m down. I do come packing gas money ?
  11. Also I’ve never fished for smallies and own mostly casting rods. I do have a dobyns champ 733c so how are like finesse jigs and maybe tube bite there
  12. So let me ask this. Would their still be a pitching and flipping bite to be had on these said lakes during summer fall and spring or even some during the winter or do I just need to retire those rods ?
  13. I’ve lived in south Louisiana all my life, and I’m leaving my boat behind for my dad. We’re moving in September. This is alllll new territory for me so any tips for ponds or any clubs needing co anglers or a felloW member would be appreciated. This is new territory but my wife got the big job she’s been looking for and I’m excited to be up there
  14. Just my two cents I feel all this could’ve been prevented if you had what would be called a wild card qualifier. Three tournaments with a win and in scenario for the elites. Not points based. Win you go in then winning angler doesn’t participate in the rest of them. Maybe I’m wrong but I think that would’ve been an amazing idea
  15. Swla fisherman here. No need to drive to the bend. Plenty of places closer that have bass
  16. 734 would be perfect for that. I love the sierras for reaction even though I have champs and dx my Spinnerbait rod is a Sierra 684. Can’t be beat at that. The difference in weight I can’t comment on both the dx and champ I’ve never weighed it. To me it’s noticeable lighter. The 735 champ weighs about what my dx 746 does. The 745 definitely has the edge in sensitivity. My 745 is my pitching and flipping go to for everything from 1/8 oz to rig to 3/4 oz. It can do one oz but i typically go to the 746 for heavier. I use a tatula sv on both the 6 and 5 and to me that’s a pitching match made in heaven with both
  17. Champion 735 or dx745 for t rigs 3/16 to an oz even light punching. I own all dobyns from sierras all the way to dx
  18. thanks mr mike. He’s doing better day by day. Still a long road but we’re getting there
  19. He’s at home recovering. Appreciate it man. Here the humidity is insane also and hot as satans taint. But early morning frog bites been on
  20. Hopefully soon. I miss talking to you guys but life’s been crazy around here between the wedding and my dad having an emergency triple bypass. Luckily things are starting to clear up and slow down now
  21. Champ 735. Just trust me on that one. I’ve skipped with it, pitched 1/8 oz plastics, punched, frogged used it for buzzbait, Spinnerbait, bladed jig. The tip is insane on it and it does lock up pretty quick
  22. I’ve been impressed so far with yozuri t7 fluorocarbon
