  1. Anyone selling some gear this offseason? Post it up.
  2. Price keeps dropping on these.. great deal: https://www.fleetfarm.com/detail/lowrance-hds-7-carbon-amer-totalscan/0000000308197?Ntt=Lowrance I run a HDS7 gen 3 as a bow unit AND I use it for ice fishing. They are versatile.

  4. Berkley is selling em now!
  5. I'm a popper addict and I finally pulled up the trigger on Rico's. I'll do a video on them this spring and put them up against a couple other poppers.
  6. I've simplified my line a lot in the last few years. Spinning: 10# power pro with 8# floro leader Baitcast: 12# berkley big game mono on topwater/jerkbait setup 12# fc sniper on my cranking rod 50# 832 on my frog rod 16# fc sniper on everything else
  7. Yeah, TW does NOT hold carts. It's a race to the checkout. I think that's the most fair way to do it, then you don't have people hoarding items in their cart and you have to sit and refresh until their cart drops.
  8. Same thing happened to a LOT of people today, including me. I quickly looked at what colors were still in stock and fired them an email asking if I could have the out-of-stock color switched and they actually responded pretty quickly with my redone order. They always oversell these things.
  9. I ordered one to play around with. These look promising!
  10. Fallfish should get you $10 off
  11. 1000% agree. It's an embarrassment of riches if you got around $200 to spend. Everyone makes amazing rods at this price point nowadays. The list of good rods in this price rang is extensive.
  12. I've been using Izorline xxx for many years for all sorts of applications and I'm consistently surprised at how STRONG that line is. Glenn turned me onto it a while ago and it's been my go-to "all around line". Getting it off ebay (with coupons of course) is the way to go.
  13. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdVsgALi7RL_NbcNLEan53PtHJJxLaIbhTRu030mHGJR8Y7PQ/viewform Registration is open! Cone on, you know you want to join.
  14. If anyone is looking for a fun & casual bass club to fish in for 2019, GreenHorn Bass Tour is going to open up this weekend for registration for new teams. They have a Sunday and Wednesday series for people new to tournament fishing. There's also an advanced club for guys who want to be a little more competitive. A few of of the MN Bass Resource guys fish in Greenhorn and can vouch for the club. It's NOT part of the MN Bass federation so you can't win entries into the state tournament, but you can win money as the top 3 bags each tournament get paid. Plus the buy-in fee's are quite low. It's a learning leauge, as the top 3 bags in each tournament have to explain how they caught them to the group after weigh-ins. Myself and my partner are going to be tournament directors on the Wednesay evening Greenhorn series this year, so if you have any questions please feel free to shoot me a message. They have the schedule for next year up now if you want to check it out: https://sites.google.com/site/2011greenhornbasstour/2011-tour-schedule
  15. I have a 7'4 Heavy avid X. I have 50lb braid and I tried to do a 12lb floro leader and the knot will NOT go through the guides. It's kind of annoying actually. I tried some different knots.
  16. Free 10$ if you're near a gander https://www.ganderoutdoors.com/coupons/cc8853.shtml
  17. Got a link?
  18. Honestly it's not that hard, but it does take some practice. I target largemouth in the same places that they hang out in the summer. They hang out shallow all winter if there's some grass. I've caught them in like 4-6' if there's any kind of vegetation/soft bottom. Even the smallest amount of dead grass will hold fish. They really seem to like hanging around shallow flats/points that are near deep water, especially if there's any kind of soft bottom. They seem to like to go to the deep water to feed on the panfish that may be in the basin, but then come back to the shallow water to hang out. The trick to catching them is to try and 'jig one up' to check out your bait. Winter bass are super lethargic, and don't often eat the bait right away. They get curious, they come check out your bait, then they go back down. You can "yo-yo" the same fish several times before they actually bite. The bait doesn't really matter.. I usually use a gold or silver spoon, or the smallest jiggin rap they make. A tungston jig and plastic works fine too. Bass aint picky. Catching a 3lber with 4lb line in shallow water on the ice is ridiculously fun. It's weird that more people don't target largies on the ice.
  19. Only thing that's open is the usual stretch by the power plant discharge in Monticello.
  20. 25% off at https://outkasttackle.com with code JoshDouglas Their GoldenEye swimbait heads are fantastic
  21. This is a crazy good deal with the transducer https://www.fleetfarm.com/detail/lowrance-hds-7-carbon-amer-totalscan/0000000308197?Ntt=lowrance
  22. I took out my ice gear yesterday... already 3-4" on some of the smaller lakes. Who else is already thinking hardwater? Bass fishing on ice is actually pretty fun fellas.
  23. I own a Stradic CI4, a Ballistic LT, and a Tatula LT. I gotta say out of the 3, i'd save a bit of money and go with a Tatula LT off ebay. The Tatula LT is as good as the Ballistic, and quite a bit cheaper. You're just not getting a sealed gearbox, but they share the same polished main gear. All 3 are amazing reels, but for the price to performance the Tatula is really hard to beat. Between just the Ballistic LT and the CI4.. man that's a toss up. They are both killer. I honestly couldn't pick which one I like better because they both bring me a lot of joy. I guess you'd have to break it down to aesthetics and pick the one that looks/feels better to you. You're getting a fantastic spinning reel either way. I dropshot a LOT and I personally use a Tatula LT 3000 on my main dropshot rig. It's amazing... Cody Meyer runs a Tatula LT 3000 for his dropshot setups if that says anything.
