  1. This is a great frog and jig rod. I also have the 7'6" H lews rod but like the 7'2" much better.
  2. what makes them special?. nothing.. they are just another variation of a soft plastic lure.
  3. educated thumb basically means you have practiced baitcasting enough to be good at it.. it is also a term that get over used to the point that it make me want to vomit sometimes.
  4. as far as rods go i prefer something in the 6'10" to 7'2" length in medhvy to hvy depending on the rod.. i dont flip but i do pitch and skip quite a bit from the back of the boat and shorter rods work better for me. and for reels, i think the bb1 is the smoothest reel i own but i prefer the lews lfs reels as far as size for palming.. i would recommend at least 7:1 but all my future reels for t rig , frog or jigs will be 8:1 so i can get the lure back to me asap to hit more targets. i dont find any use for the flipping switch as i rarely ever flip and when i do i dont need a switch because i cast left and reel right .
  5. i have the skeet reese micro eye weightless worm/fluke rod and love it for that application. that said i dont think it has a power rating but is a fast action.
  6. red label has to be the stiffest line ive ever used. i perfer yz hybrid or plain old stren mono.

  14. less money spent on the website means more affordable jigs.
  15. I've struggled trying to figure out the deal with his jigs for a while as well.
  16. I have a Lew's custom speed stick top water rod that works well for me with lures this size.
  17. must-have item the one from bass pro shops(lead w/chains) is relitively cheap and works great.. ive problebly saved $100 easy in lures and also found that i can throw lures in places i wouldn't have even considered if i didn't have it. . i spooled mine up on an old b/c reel mounted to the handle of a broken rod..
  18. just rig them any way you would rig a fluke or any other soft plastic.. they are not magical.........just a good , versatile soft plastic.
  19. i have one and use it for 4-10' running crankbaits and i love it.. i would not use it for square bills unless you are throwing them in open water.. i prefer a rod with more backbone when throwing around cover.
  20. lews all the way. i have at least one of almost every lews reels and they all are much better casting and smoother reeling than my two bps pq reels. i bought the pq reels for $50 each on sale and feel like i wasted my money on them.
  21. can anyone. explain the difference. between the seibert jigs? arky, mata, brush, grid iron , dredge, etc. im so lost. i would like to order some but have no idea what type to get.
