Bass Pro Shops have fantastic tube jigs that I really like to use. The Wally Marshall "Mr. Crappie" line is really good, too. I like to use a 1/32 to 1/16oz jig head with these. Crappie are particular, and I don't want them scared away by a huge hook.

Alright guys, being as it's been colder lately and I have NO social life, I wanted to work on sharpening my hooks. One problem- I don't really know how. I have a dremel with a sharpener and I also have a file that I bought from Bass Pro Shops a couple months ago that I haven't really used. Can anyone give me some advise? Some diagrams or even video would be awesome. Thanks! WPD

I had caught one much larger than that one a few weeks earlier. I didn't have my digital camera with me so I used my backup disposable camera. I'm getting it developed next week so you'll see how big they can get.

Bill Dance was down here about 2 weeks ago to be inducted into the IGFA Hall of Fame. He stayed an extra day to sign books at the Bass Prp Shops in Ft. Lauderdale. For those of you who haven't had the opportunity, Bill is one of the nicest people I have ever met. My buddy Mike and I got to talk with him for about 45 minutes. What an incredible, congenial person he is. I really can't say enough about how nice he was. Just so you know, he says his favorite fish to catch is smallmouth and his favorite body of water is Pickwick Lake. Anyway, here is a pic. From left is me (flying the UK blue), Bill Dance, my buddy Mike, and Bob Rich, who wrote the book that was being signed.
