  1. for brackish water i would go with a dark color, black/blue or junebug either a jig or a creature bait probably in the 1/2oz area and as for what to look for i would fish anything that stands out to you, if might be a laydown, or a car like we have here in philly lol
  2. i decided to save up and get now but i can't find them in stock anywhere and tackle warehouse doesn't have them in stock until i think july so does anyone know who does? thanks
  3. i like the netbait spanky swimbait, it has a great action but i think there smallest size is 3 1/2in
  4. for jerkbaits i use a 6.4 to 1 but for topwater i use a 7.0 or higher so if your looking for a reel for both maybe in the middle goodluck
  5. great punch baits
  6. I'm always on youtube watching hunting and fishing videos and i always watched this guy his channel is demolition ranch, great channel but recently i found out he had another channel called vet ranch, here he's a veterinarian and he posts videos of dogs and who are gonna be euthanized and saves them. some of the videos are pretty gruesome, but its crazy how he save the lives of so many animals check it out!
  7. went to penn warner today fished deer path 1 and around the long dock from the bank and didn't catch anything but the water looked good hopefully when next week ill make out a little better
  8. i went up to penn warner
  9. i picked up a field and stream inferno rod when i was on vacation the 7'MH i think there $30 but it wasn't a bad rod i know its a little less than your price, but for that much i would give it a try
  10. today was my first day out here in pa (bucks county) the water looked great and really clear fished for about 2 hours without a bite but i did see 2 turtles lol but besides freezing, i got to try a couple new lures i was really impressed with the huddleston weedless swimbait it has a great action, i was slow rolling it on the bottom with no luck, and the other lure i was impressed with was the yum christie craw, i had it on the back of a jig and that also had a really good flapping action but hopefully next time i get out i have more luck
  11. about to go fishing for the first time this year i need some advice, I'm bring almost everything lol but mainly jigs, crankbaits, lipless cranks, rip baits anything else i should bring? thanks
  12. over the past 2 years I've been using tungsten almost exclusively, so i was wondering is there a time when you will use lead over tungsten?
  13. nice fish, now if only i could get my hands on some
  14. for spawning bass my favorite lure is a white lizard texas rigged either weightless or with a 1/4oz tungsten but i also use jigs, creature baits and pretty much anything i think they will bite, for anything under a 1/4oz ill use with 6-8lb fluro with a 6'6-7'0 medium rod and for a casting rod during the spawn ill use 7'0MH with 10lb fluro with open water and 14lb if I'm around lay downs, and for where to find them anywhere from 6in of water to about 8ft but since I'm a bank fisherman i look shallow. get yourself a good pair of polarized glasses usually a green lens for during the spawn and the males will start to make beds, from my experience around 58-60 degree water temp goodluck and i hope this helps
  15. definitely pre spawn, but during the spawn is my favorite time to fish
  16. you gotta bite that that worm in half, no knife lol but its alright haven't caught anything here yet either but opening day of trout saturday
  17. i bought a couple of the crankbaits over the winter and they look nice and the hooks are sharp but i haven't been able to use them yet
  18. if the water temp is gonna be between 55-60 i would imagine the fish would be starting to move up or already making beds, so i would look for beds and I'm a dock person so i would fish docks all day but thats just me and i find that when fish are about to move up to spawn i catch them in the main lake more
  19. thanks and now I'm just waiting to get a car and i don't have to depend on people to drop me off fishing lol
  20. and i passed! watch out world here i come
  21. lizards! i grew up mainly throwing lizards (idk why) but whenever its tough i might t-rig one, caolina rig, or weightless
  22. I've been watching the show since it started and he only problem i have with it is the story behind it, i know people there might believe things like that but to me he's just blowing smoke up our ***** to make the show an hour long
  23. well if I'm trying to find fish i might take 5 casts to try and get a reaction bite, but if i know theres fish there I might stay for 15 minutes but if its during the spawn, I've spent 45 minutes trying to catch one fish
