bandwagon..
well, im finally jumping on the swimbait bandwagon. i got some mattlures baby bass and a bluegill, ive made a couple wakebaits too. might get some bigger ones if i have success. now to the rod and reel..im thinking about this rod in 7'9" MH http://www.***.com/descpage.html?PCODE=SHCLCR i think that will do well for the ones i am planning on throwing. as for the reel im thinking the cardiff 300 http://www.***.com/descpageRLCSHIMANO-SCCRA.html now my question is for the line. i was thinking Pline CXX X-tra strong in 20#. i have one problem though, i fish where pike live, so would i need some type of leader with this..? thanks for any suggestion/help aaron

Which baitcasters do you own
Curado, Energy, and an Accurist. Honestly, my favorite out of the three is probably the Accurist, just seems most versatile to me. aaron

Pymatuning Lake, PA
we used to go there every summer for awhile. pretty good fishing if you know where to go. i got an 18" smallie there and some nice largemouth as well. also walleye and there are good numbers of muskie in it from what ive read. we dont go anymore because gas and we live on the western part of ohio and have a place up in IN where we can go to both IN and MI lakes.

ohio bass
i live in st. marys, havent fished the lake for a year or two because i can never do any good there, muddy and just nasty. we fish Indian and Loramie quiet a bit, but most of our fishing is done in MI or IN, the water there is mostly crystal clear and alot cleaner, and we always catch bigger and more fish ;D.

Bass Tracker questions
the one you are looking at is a good one. we have the 175TX, last years model and its a great boat (its only different by the the width, maybe length and a few little things). rides very smooth and with the 60 we can get it to 37mph, which is plenty fast for us. one suggestion is if you do go with this one, upgrade the fishfinder before you get it. it comes with the Lowrance X-37, which is very cheap and doesnt work good. its a great boat, but good luck with whatever you go with. aaron

your recommendations on a boat
the Trackers are great boats. we have the Pro Team 175TX, last yrs version with a 60 on it. it has enough storage and is very stable. its worked great so far and is fun to fish out of. just a thought, if you do purchase a Tracker i think they all come with a Lowrance X-37 fishfinder. they are junk, i would reccomend getting a better finder on it before you buy so you dont have to hassle with it. good luck on the new boat. aaron
