  1. Power Pro. Ive never tried any others and this has served me well by doing everything i put it through and then some. So, if it aint broke, dont fix it. aaron
  2. i wish i could but that would be a week of school, and i just dont think i can do that. ill see, it would be sweet to be fishing with some of the great minds on here. hmmm....ill have to talk to my dad. i just want somewhere were we have a good chance of catching something over about 5 or 6#, anything over that would be awesome. we just want to get away for awhile and catch some fish and have a good time, and if a PB is thrown in there it will only make it that much more memorable aaron
  3. Going to be going South this year for vacation during the summer. We were thinking about Kentucky Lake, maybe somethin a little farther with some bigger ones? Tennessee would probably be the farthest we could go. We love pitching, so maybe some good pitching lakes with lots of cover and structure. Thanks for any suggestions. aaron
  4. hmmm .....not a bad idea aaron
  5. if your not going to put a lip, make sure it swims well. ive tried them without lips and they just dont do it for me, some guys can, i cant. with a lip it will always work. aaron
  6. i grew up fishing bluegill, crappie, catfish, walleye, anything and everything. my dad took me out alot and i just liked being outside all the time. i would try for bass every now and then with just a basic powerworm on a straight shank hook, it would catch some bass. then i started to like bassin a little more and kept gettin a little and little more tackle but not very educated on it. but then about 5 years ago i was using i bluegill, casting out and reeling in(didnt look lifelike it all lol) because i had caught a few pike like that so i kept tryin, and i got a 22" around 5# bass, that is what got me hooked on bass fishing. aaron
  7. i have the exact same problem with mine. i finally called MotorGuide and they sent me an email on how to fix it, give em a call and your email and youll have the email in a few minutes. aaron
  8. that kayak is sweet, the fish isnt bad either ive been lookin for a kayak for a few months now, i want one for small lakes n rivers. theyre pretty expensive tho.. aaron
  9. just wondering if the new formula is in a new tube? i cant find it anywhere? unless you have stopped producing the old and just make the new in the same tube? thanks aaron
  10. i saw this on swimbaitnation too, very nice touching up. also, i bet that "bunghole" will get you double the amount of bites ;D aaron
  11. yep, thats what ive caught my bass on in there, tubes. i was thinking using big jig heads with tubes on those humps and drop shot. aaron
  12. i will have the boat in there this summer, it is trolling motor only. as far as i know, bluegill and perch. they pump water into it from a river so might be shad and whatever else swims in the river lol. the list of fish that are in there are: walleye, bluegill, channel cats, white bass, perch, bullhead and smallies and supposedly largemouth, even though ive never heard of or seen anyone catch one. i honestly dont think there is any vegetation there. used to have some on that 10ft hump but sprayed it and havent seen any since. ill have to check it out last time i go. thanks for all the help guys, plannin on catchin some smallies this year!! aaron
  13. \\ would ya mind sharin? aaron
  14. Thank you, fishizzle. Im going to have to get the boat out there this year alot more, especially during spawn to try to catch some of those tanks. I've never tried drop-shotting but was going to give it a go around this year, and i guess this would be a perfect place for it. Thanks again. aaron
  15. http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/Portals/9/Images/fishing/Lake%20Maps/pub253.gif i fish this reservoir a little during the summer when not much else to do. i have caught some smallies but never good numbers or size. there are some 5# in there via the testing the state does with nets and shocking etc. the East bank is usually the best for me, as you can see there are "fish attractors" there. the whole bank is big rocks/boulders. and those go down all the way to the bottom, i know because trolling for walleye we snag alot. also, it is very steep drop off as you see. so, i was wondering how you would attack the smallies here? oh yea, im not gettin out the boat yet, just bank fishin. thanks for any suggestions. aaron
  16. B E A UTIFUL!! how did you do the fins? very nice aaron
  17. ive had the same problem with them. i ordered a GLoomis as well, and they sent the confirmation email and charged the card. so a week went by and i called and they said theyll ship it out right away? so after about another week i called again and they said they just shipped it that day. finally got the rod but after ALOT of frustration. i will never order from there again, even if it is a better deal than another place. aaron
  18. nice. i really dont have a reccomendation on how many to carry, but i have 3 baitcasting and one spinning, with another baitcaster on the way. i would guess the more the better to have certain baits rigged so you dont have to cut off and tie on another. aaron
